This was our first time and we loved the location! It was right in the downtown, close to everything, especially the venue for the concert we went to! I wish the windows were better because we could here everything from the street!

The hotel does not have parking but is only a block from the parking garage which was an easy walk to and from the hotel. The hotel is old but well maintained and the staff was so friendly. They do not have a refrigerator in the rooms but they will keep your refridgerate your items and give you ice for a cooler. We stayed in room 403 and our radio kept going off during the night with just static noise and the light flickered.. Haunted??? Great location and walkable to Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf.

Location was great, not much else. Our room was prepaid; yet when I was required to give them my credit card for $100 hold for incidentals, they turned around and charged me over $300 for the room! PS. There were NO INCIDENTALS to be had! My back is still out of whack from the lumpy bed; the shutters were not able to block outside light and we could hear our neighbors. NOT WORTH THE MONEY! No coffee or tea, very poor internet to boot!

Nice downtown location
The staff was excellent. We had a wedding to attend at The Barns at Cooper Molera, which is a pleasant 4 min walk. It is super close to restaurants & other popular locations. Overnight parking is available across the street at the parking garage (no charge for Sunday and Monday). It's a nice historical hotel that could use some updating, but the room was clean overall. The walls are thin; we literally heard our neighbor's entire conversation at 7 am. If you are a light sleeper like myself, I would not suggest having a room on Alvarado St. (the main street). The windows in the hotel room are thin! You will hear every car, motorcycle, people's conversation, and so on. Especially with a bar up that street. We would book again but in a room location with less outside noise.
