Our room was ready early and we were able to get settled. We had rented an additional room for our daughter and her friend which was upgraded without asking so that our rooms could be close. The reception staff were friendly at check in. The rooms themselves are a little tired. The mattresses should be replaced as well as the sheets and pillows.

A lovely stay. Bed was comfortable, WiFi solid if not speedy, fireplace was great. Everything was clean as could be. My room was right across from the public outdoor gathering area, so there was a little noise, but everything quieted down nicely after 10 and I got an excellent nights sleep. Very close to Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s and convenient to the municipal beach and Old Monterey. Would definitely stay again.

The shower needs a bench & shower floor was slippery . And the coffee maker needs to be replaced. Brewed only a 1/4 cup of coffee even though a cup of water was used. Parking was extremely tight to back out of one way only driveway.

Customer service was excellent, the man at the front desk was beyond helpful and friendly. The location was close to nearby stores and shopping, there was adequate parking in the lot and the surrounding area felt very safe. The room was overall very clean, only complaint we had was that the linens and towels had an odd smell to them, even upon requesting new towels they smelled the same so we are thinking it’s wherever they store them.

Very nice “mid-level” motel. Not an overpriced hotel nor is it a run down motel. Room was very nice and clean. Bed was okay, a little soft for my liking, but comfortable. Our second floor room was very large, had high ceilings with wood beams, fireplace and a narrow balcony. Very cozy. Bathroom sink was outside the shower/toilet area. Only negative is there are no nearby food establishments but there are plenty within a short drive away.
