Don’t waste your money here

Check in takes extremely too long, and the front desk staff is rude when you ask about it. The food is terrible and the servers don’t act like they want to help you if they don’t see tip money in advance. Our room had a huge dead cockroach in our tub, and apparently them still cleaning our room is what took so long to check in. Doors in the rooms didn’t seal and the very small beach area was a mess.

My booking was not what I had requested and paid for online through Expedia. I booked a room with 2 double beds for 2 adults. Because the hotel does not have elevators I also requested a lower floor because of a knee injury. I arrived onsite at 2pm May 24th and I was told they had no room available because in the system my booking was for a king size bed and one adult and there was none available. After waiting for two hours I was given a key card to a room on 2nd floor. When I got to the room it had a key entry so I returned to the front desk and told them the door was a key entry and not a key card entry. They said there was an error on their part so they looked for the key but did not find it. They told me the hotel was 98% booked so it was difficult to find me a room since based on the information on the system I was booked for single king bed for 1 adults. I showed them my booking confirmation with 2 double beds and 2 adults. I had to wait for a room. I was finally placed in a room in an adjacent building with a long flight of stairs which caused my knees to hurt when going up or down the steps. The manager did not want to look on my confirmation but rather insisted that the reservation was one king (or queen) bed for 1 adult. I insisted on showing it to her and she finally looked and admitted there was an error with the system booking. She said I should call Expedia and file a complaint. She gave me nothing for the trouble and inconvenience I went through.

The initial greeting was very cold and uncaring at the front desk. You pay a lot money for all inclusive and you don’t even provide wash cloths to clean yourself and the towels were old and dirty looking. The female staff seemed to be annoyed when you ask them for anything. They wouldn’t even give me directions to the two restaurants on the property unless I booked a reservation first( I wanted to know what kind of food they served before I booked. Everything closed extra early like the swim up bar, the restaurants. Food choices were very limited, but most of all it was the rudeness of your staff

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to have a good night sleep. My room was the far from the resort dinning and activities. And the room was next to the local beach where there are vehicles with huge speakers just blasting music all night. Same playlist over and over again. This is no fault of the resort but I noticed empty rooms alway from the local beach. I’ve been to Jamaica 7 times and this was definitely a disappointment. Food - forget about it! Eat out or ensure that you book a reservation at the Seafood place or the oriental restaurant. Just make sure front desk actually books it for you. They missed my bookings twice! Definitely will never return to this property making me feel like a need a break from Jamaica.

WARNING SCAM - WORST EXPERIENC REVIEW OF THE GRAND DECAMERON MONTEGO BAY BEACH, A TRADEMARK ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT POSING AS GRAND DECAMERON CORNWALL MONTEGO BAY, A TRADEMARK ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT LOOKS LIKE THE SAME RESORT 60th birthday vacation upset!!!!! the Grand Decameron resort information is deceiving and the photos that are shown was not what we received. 2 RESORTS SAME ADDRESS The front desk was rude, the manager was rude, the bartenders were rude, we were supposed to check in at 3. We didn't get our rooms until 5:30, We asked to have our rooms next to each other, didn’t happen.. Rooms smelled of MOLD. The rooms were stark uninviting the ceiling fan blade was missing and it wobbled/noisy. The locks on the doors were unsafe and didn’t work. I had no towels, I called the front desk they told me I could come and get them, WHAT - towel were sandpaper.no fridge. The food was terrible, the sidewalks were cracked, the swimming pool deck was wood weathered with nails sticking out, one part of the deck had no railing, someone could fall off the ledge. I have photos!!!!! There was trash in the bushes by the rooms. sidewalks cracked, entrance to rooms bottom floor weathered and cracked unsafe. Didn't stay for 2 days.. Refused to refund - went to another resort. Sooooo much more to say but limited on characters and photos.......
