This property was recommended to me by a trusted friend, considering the fact that I traveled solo from the airport to the resort even crossing over to the shops which I did DAILY on my walks I FELT SAFE!!! I ate at Sofia’s restaurant 3 nights!!! Food and service was amazing. The bartenders worked hard and did their thing never waited for any drinks. The entertainment also was great something going on all day and night. Needless too say I enjoyed my birthday vacation here and I’m already making plans to return.

The property is a beautiful property, however, there is no elevator in some of the buildings. It’s hard bringing luggage up three flights of stairs. The food is not good.No authentic Jamaican food on the resort. The cab drivers and transportation is horrible. They charge $25 for a 6 min ride to the airport. If you would like to do excursions, they are actually $44 but the people at the resort charge $400 . The resort is not as updated as some of the other RIU resorts. It’s an ok place to just get away. But the KFC and the Wendy’s outside the resort is the best if you want food that taste like something.

The hotel is in a very good location. There was enough entertainment, but it was too loud in the evening. The vast majority of guests, 30 in some places, did not behave very well. The incident in the buffet, where one woman rudely shouted and beat the dishes in front of the guests and staff, was especially memorable. The staff works perfectly. Everything was great except the behavior of the guests. Thanks to the entire Riu Montego Bay team.
