Saw a very large cockroach in my room. This is an old motel that has been upgraded but, they didn't do anything about sound proofing. I could hear the neighbors beside me talking and every step of the ones above.

To be in this unique part of town they need more
Comfortable and peaceful it needs more detail cleanness the small coffee makers was full of mineral couldn't even warm water their breakfast was sad and the front desk very rude to the late eaters on the tables pick everything up without notice to the attendance of their sad breakfast

I stay at this property quite frequently when I visit friends and Modesto. The rooms lobby and breakfast area are nicely renovated. The staff is great. There’s a nice simple pool outside for some relief on hot days. Having said all that, The area at night AND daytime has become blighted with homeless people walking around and sleeping on the property commin areas hallways and steps. I had to notify the office twice during this trip that I could not access my room as I was feeling unsafe until they cleared the way.

Roaches
Quality was as expected for a Best Western Hotel but we had to share the room with half dead, still crawling big roaches. That was unexpected for a brand name hotel and I hope they can fix that problem. I was too tired to change reservation and just endured it for a night.
