Rooms are comfortable and quiet. We love the atmosphere of the inn. The location is great. Walking around downtown is fun and pleasant. Will definitely stay again.
The hotel is historic but has not been renovated. It smells musty, the wifi didnt work, the bathtub had rust in it, there was no fridge in the room, the coffee maker was cheap and had dust in the compartment where you put the water- i doubt it had been used in years. Thankfully the bed was comfortable but that’s the only positive thing i can say about this pretty run down hotel. It needs a complete overhaul.

Elevator was out and I am handicapped. The hand rail was wobbly and could not be trusted. The front desk staff offered to carry up the luggage up but I didn’t feel comfortable allowing her to help. My husband did at least 10 trips and almost had an asthma attack. I would have given a near perfect score if it hadn’t been for these issues.

We enjoyed our stay. While the property is older that is part of the charm. Our first room had no hot water but we were able to move to another room the next morning. Overall the staff was very accommodating. We would stay again.
Got a call a call the night before our stay that they were trying to pull money out but it wouldn’t go through. I told the lady I picked the option to pay at the hotel because I was splitting the trip with my mother. Lady got super rude with me and said “ugh I don’t know why hotels.com does this to us that’s not an option” I said no problem and was going to give her the card number. She said our systems are down so I can’t take payment. But she assured me I was fine and my reservation was confirmed. The following morning before heading out on the 8 hour drive to get there I got a confirmation email confirming our stay and how much it was going to cost. Perfect.
2 hours before we arrived at the hotel I got a phone call from a woman named charlotte how had to be one of the nastiest people I have ever encountered in my entire life. She was calling to inform me that they were booked up and didn’t have a room for me. When I tried to talk to her she kept stopping me and interrupting me. Never once apologized and treated me like it was my fault this was happening. She said don’t worry we are getting you a room at the holiday inn. What?? I booked a stay in a historic hotel. Not a holiday inn. She basically said “you want it or not” I told her I don’t have a choice we were already driving. I swear I have never been treated so terribly before. Both women I talked to were incredibly rude but charlotte was the worst. How dare you talk to someone, anyone, the way she did. I’m disgusted
We loved our stay here! The beds were not super comfortable, but aside from that we loved everything. It’s an old inn with lots of character. The staff are all lovely. Great location, walkable, convenient parking. If we come back to Mobile, we’ll stay here again!

The property is an old historic hotel, so I was not expecting a glamorous boutique hotel. However, I was not expecting to get a 3rd floor room and the elevator was broken. We explained to the front desk that my husband had knee surgeries and could not do those stairs. She said nothing else was available. We should have checked out, but since my husband's 40th class reunion was there, we stuck it out. We observed a room on the first floor was available later that night. He asked the lady on duty and she happily accommodated us, so we were switching rooms during the event down three flights of stairs (not too happy about this). Lastly, think twice about having a nice event at this hotel during warm months because the air conditioner is horrible. The box fans they had throughout the room did not help and was not cute. Those of us that were dancing were drenched in sweat. We're definitely too old for that. The same lady that gave us the room was really accommodating throughout the event as much as she could be. I wish I could remember her name (really short haircut).
Very nice historic old hotel. The staff were wonderful. There are a number of restaurants within easy walking distance, though we discovered that a lot of them are closed on Monday. The hotel is also close to the cruise port.
Very well located. Easy walk to dining and historic homes and museums. It is an old building. Lot's of quirks and cracks. Could use a touch more TLC but it is so charming and soaked in history. Front desk ladies were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our romantic stay.
