We have stayed here previously. It has gone downhill for sure since last year, at least the room we were in. Corners of the bathroom were filthy. Black mold on the ceiling of the shower. A really loud bathroom fan that didn’t even work. Within an hour of us checking in the front desk lady came barging in with her key, obviously the wrong room, apologized and left. The next morning housekeeping was outside our room pounding on the freezer of a mini fridge, trying to defrost it. literally smashing the ice out of it. Then housekeeping came pounding on our door like the FBI and we told them no thank you for service. I was plenty loud, yet housekeeping tried to open the door and come in, but this time we had the latch on it. Our freezer was also encased in ice, and it offered very little usable space in the freezer compartment. Both mornings that we were there, it was 17°and 19°, there were no blankets. Our beds had a sheet and a thin bedspread. Because they have the typical heater/AC unit through the wall, a lot of cold air gets in. I’m not sure what the heck’s going on but somebody there needs to pay attention.

Large, very pet-friendly rooms. They acccept dogs and cats. The queen queen bunks are great for families. The lodge is cheerfully decorated for the holidays. The breakfast area has a retro diner decor. Receptionist was friendly. Fantastic central location close to restaurants and shops. 5 minute walk to a Tesla Supercharger. Great stay!

We stayed 2 nights at Expedition Lodge. The have worked really hard to make this place feel nice and welcoming. It had great decorations for Christmas, and the rooms seem recently renovated. The complimentary breakfast was great both mornings. Our kids loved the free arcade games and ping pong, as well as the heated pool. The property is right off the main road through Moab, so we heard road traffic all through the night, but that’s not something management can fix. They did try to address it by providing combination noise machines/alarm clocks. That constant road noise was our only complaint.

Expedition lodge is greater than all the chains
This trip started out as a stay through Hilton but was cancelled because as always they are rude and do not care about their guests. That being said Expedition was AMAZING! The front desk was extremely helpful with recommendations for food and sites. Everyone was so friendly. And yes they have a TRUE continental breakfast.
