This property is run down. The area is full of homeless people and transients . The vending area smells like something died in it. Cheap stay but I don’t recommend it.

The hotel is in a pretty sad state of disrepair. We were told that the hot water heater went out 5 days prior to my check in. The did comp us $30 off our stay per night, but there is unfinished and missing bathroom tiles, one coat hanger, no Kleenex, light fixture with plug electrical outlets were completely worn out. Bathroom fan was held up by a wing nut. I could go on and on. this place has really fallen apart since my last stay in 2018.

The young man at the front desk was very kind and gave me a new bottom sheet for my bed as the Sheets were dirty and appeared to have body fluids on them as well as other stains.. There was hair in the shower as well as a dirty washcloth in the shower .. Dirty floors in the bathroom .. The TV remote did not work.. The air conditioner worked intermittently ..The lights between the two beds did not work ...There was no hot water at all. The appearance of the facility was very dirty and unkept.. The furniture was stained or ripped ..I will not be staying there and I do not recommend this motel

Dirty rooms, not able to shower due to hot water not working, when asked why it wasn’t disclosed to us at check-in, I was told “I don’t know”. I asked for a partial refund, and was told a manager would contact me, it’s been 6 days and I haven’t heard from anyone. We would not have stayed there if we were told there was no hot water to be able to bathe our children, and of course shower ourselves during our travels. Around 4:30am, a man was banging on our door, demanding to be let in, my husband had to tell him multiple times that he had the wrong room. We were traveling with our children, so that felt very uneasy.

Missoula has become a destination stop for me for work and recreation, and a primary reason is this hotel and its friendly welcoming staff. Rooms are very nice and clean plus a great breakfast. Your workers are awesome and make coming here enjoyable!

We got there, and at first, it seemed pretty decent. We had been on the road all day so the first thing I wanted to do was take a shower. That's where it all went wrong... The shower was absolutely filthy, it looks to have not been cleaned in months. So I walked out of the bathroom and glanced around the room, there was dirt all over the door area, the walls, there were holes in the ceiling in both the main room and the bathroom, 3 or 4 flies buzzing around, and the blankets on the bed looked very old. We ended up having to leave for other reasons, however, we probably would have switched hotels anyhow. 1/10, would not recommend.

This was the most filthy disgusting place. Bathrooms weren't cleaned at all. Floor covered in hair. Beard trimmings all over the bathroom counter. Out of breakfast and no hot water.

The first room we got was filthy. The top comfoter had shoe prints and stains on it. When we pulled back the covers the fitted sheet was not even on the bed all the way. The toilet seat and bowl were gross and the shower and sink were also. There were crumbs all over the counter surfaces and it looked like it hadn't been swept for awhile because there was dirt in the corners that was very visible. We walked out and requested a new room. Our new room had 2 queen beds versus 1 king but the were clean. The shower and bathroom were also clean but the whole appearance of the place was very rundown looking inside and outside. Paint peeling off the celings and walls. Holes in the ceilings and walls. Cracks in the flooring. Stained couch and sides of mattresses. The smoke detector was missing but had wires coming out of the ceiling. The fan/heat in the bathroom did not work. Pool and hot tub were not usable which is one of the reasons we chose it. It was our Anniversary. When we got up in the morning after a restless night we found out there was no hot water! The whole building was out! They were going to give us a $30 rebate but in my opinion it should be more for the inconvenience of having to get a different room as well. I always thought Red Lion has a good reputation but this one is far from that! Will never go back. Should have taken pictures which i normally do but we were late for a dinner reservation after the room fiasco!!
