a traditional hotel with large rooms, clean, comfortable beds and fast wifi. We received excellent service and had chance to choose dinner with the extreme package. The chef is simply the best and out of this world--so elegantly presented and delicious at the same time--best rice and fish in the area. Also we went out at night to see the firefly--very helpful recommendation by the staff. The hotel has therapeutical spa--may explain why cancer rate in the area is half of Japan's average with the % of residents over 90-year-old is 6 times Japan's average.
We stayed at a couple of places in Misasa during our trip and this was the best in my opinion. The level of service and professionalism here is outstanding. The large onsen we booked time for private session was amazing. would recommend to anyone staying in Misasa.
The ryokan is a beautiful, traditional, quaint rather large building located on the river in the centre of Misasa. Very friendly staff.
We were annoyed that we couldn't purchase individual meals at the hotels multiple restaurants. You had to buy the meal package for every meal up front when originally reserving your room. Hotels.com didn't share this information with us so we had to get food offsite which wasn't convenient.
I like the landscape it is so beautiful. The river sounds nice from window. The pools are so nice. The hotel is beautiful. There are no earring options except one after 5pm. So buy food early. This was not explained at desk.
seems they have a shuttle service to local train station, we had rental car. i had fun drifting along mountain roads. get car insurance if you do this...
This hotel is best onsen we have been to in Japan. The bath water wasn't too hot, so our toddler son enjoyed it too. The staff was very friendly. Even though I didn't make a reservation, the hotel bus driver waited at the Kurayoshi train station and picked us up. We liked the dinner and breakfast a lot.
