I don’t usually leave reviews but I enjoyed this place so much, I had to leave an A review. Wow! What a unique, comfortable, and clean hotel! I booked late and got a cheaper room in the basement and know that my room may not have been as spectacular as the others. But it was still very clean, looked nice, had a comfy bed, an updated and a trendy bathroom with a warm shower, and was exactly what I needed. The building and decor added so much character. The breakfast was also superior to other continental breakfasts I have had. The price was even very good for the location, comfort, and amenities offered. I did not try anything at the bar but it was busy and it looked like everyone there was enjoying themselves. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The only downfall (which isn’t a big deal to me but may be to others) is the parking situation. There isn’t a lot of available street parking so I parked in the parking garage that is adjacent to the hotel (cost around $18 overnight). There is a considerable amount of walking from the parking garage to the hotel so I wanted to share this if someone is not able to walk far with a suitcase. This however was no problem for me and I highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again when passing through the area.

I have stayed at this property multiple times and usually love it! However, this experience was different. I got to my room and immediately noticed the carpet had many footprints. I assumed maybe they just neglected to vacuum. Then I noticed trash in both of the cans. I went back to the desk and asked if someone else was booked in that room or if it did not get cleaned. The Associate told me there was a family that was originally booked in the room, but requested a move. I asked if housekeeping had been in the room and was informed they were only in the room for 20 minutes. Since I checked in at 10:00PM, there was little opportunity to find somewhere else. Once I was in the room, it did not appear anyone was on the bed and did not seem "dirty," but a matter of principle. Also, this was the first time I had breakfast and was somewhat disappointed, but appreciated the option for free breakfast. The coffee bar and flavored syrups were nice.

Not the best area, homeless people lined up outside, garbage everywhere. Right next to the transit station and was charged $8 to park just to unload our stuff and leave after 10 mins. Room was nice, but no curtains??
