If not for the staff service it would have been a 4 star overall. I did not like the attitude of the first female that I tried to check in with a little early, wasn’t friendly at all. We didn’t officially get into our room until a little after midnight (we did check in at 4). After getting in the room everything was impeccably clean with the exception of spiderwebs in the corner by the window. At checkout my mother and mother-in-law had an awful encounter with trying to get help from a (Caucasian) housekeeper/houseman asking for directions to the elevator. That is definitely unacceptable.

I love the old restored building. The building and inside are beautiful. The staff was wonderful. Location was great. Didn't like. No dish soap to wash my couple of dishes, not running a dishwasher for that. I love the old hotel feel and wouldn't want it to loose its character and charm with modern technology. But just a lamp or even a wall adaptors to accept USB/C charging cords. Decorated for Christmas was very nice. Will return

Great spot in a fun part of Milwaukee
Quick friendly and expedient check-in. The guy behind the counter Eddie was wonderful. The rooms were extremely clean and really nice. Nice touches. Trying to bring in the antique architecture. Bed was super comfortable. Due to the layout of the building, there are some weird, three or four steps here and there depending on where your room is, but I'm sure they accommodate handicap travelers. Please note that there's really no local parking and it's either going to be two blocks away at a lot where you Don't have In-N-Out service but it's about 25% of what you pay locally for valet where there is In-N-Out service.

Nice place to stay. Breakfast, was a hard danish & coffee. Went to the restraunt & ordered food there. Really good breakfast & the breakfast pizza was good, reasonable priced. Beds really low on the ground & way to soft. Towels were not soft.
