For the price, I was surprised to see how small and outdated the rooms were . Don’t get me wrong, the room was clean, but just felt very outdated and small for the price of that room.

Main areas of hotel is nice but the first room we got put in it smelled like cigarettes. Asked to change rooms and the 2nd room still smelled like cigarette smoke but the shower also had mildew in the grout and the toilet paint was chipping. Very disappointed in my stay considering it's the Hyatt.

This property needs a refresh/update. You could tell it hasn't been updated since they allowed smoking inside. Given it's connection to the new convention center, you would assume Hyatt would update it but sadly no.

Was a little perturbed with my reserved and paid for room not being ready. I arrived about 30 minutes before check-in and was told my room wasn't ready. I was told it could be ready by 3 (check-in time) or sometime after and I would get a text whenever my room became available. It seems many others were waiting for rooms that were also not available. After about 45 minutes of waiting (approximately 3:15) I asked again and she said, let me see what I can find. She found a room that matched my reservation but the only one she found was in front of the elevators. I told her I'd take it to avoid waiting any further.

Very close to all of our venues and within walking distance to the 3rd Ward and Riverwalk. We wish someone had explained parking better for us, as we were charged every time we drove the car back and forth before we found out we just had to charge parking to our room for 1 set price! Nice restaurants close by!
