Nice hotel with plenty of extras - a spa, pool, terrace bar and restaurant. That said, it’s located over the subway so there’s an almost continuous rumble. Very easy to hear in the basement, not so much on the upper floors. But that also means you have quick and easy access almost everywhere.

Pretty good all round the only thing I would say is that my room for whatever reason always has the smell of cigarettes and burning or something. It might just have been that was close to where people used to smoke cigarettes so that was the only unpleasant and the shower cubic was teeny tiny.

The hotel is located in a vibrant area of Milan with shops and restaurants, in abundance. The M1 metro line station is conveniently situated a few steps away. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak very good English! Like many older Italian hotels, the rooms have character and are adorned with marble bathrooms. The room was spacious with a large bed, fridge and safe. In contrast, the dining room on the top floor was modern with floor to ceiling glass doors. The breakfast catered for all tastes, with a selection of hot dishes, cold meats, fruits and pastries. A nice little touch, was the marshmallow treats in reception!

It’s been a week since my stay and I’ve just had an extra charge on my card without being informed of what it’s about, whilst I was there I was told that I would be charged for room service to bring a glass to my room because there wasn’t one in there. The shower was barely big enough to fit in and impossible to get at a temperature that wasn’t scolding hot or freezing cold. Breakfast and minibar were overpriced too.

TRAVELERS WARNING: this is not a 4 star hotel its a 3 star . AND THERE IS NO A/C in the whole property. When reaching out to expedia support they did nothing, and when O reached out to the front desk they advised that I should just open a window to climatize the room, I’ll say a manager came to the room and offered me “an upgrade” but due to the party I was traveling with I was unable to switch rooms, then I was offered another room but it was only available until the next day by that time I was done with this management and requested not to be switched, btw the manager said it was a “cultural” problem because they do not turn on the AC during the winter (even if the day is hot, like this past few days were, well over 20 degrees C) so I guess you open the windows and stay hot… I requested a refund and nor the hotel nor expedia did anything about it, had to spend 3 days in this room with this conditions… please do yourself a favor and look for a different option. Their website also advertised they have climate control but it’s not true. The restaurant is great tho and it looks they’ve tried to masquerade the old feel but there are windows that are falling out and the wood is rotten. Not recomended…
