Comfortable hotel near the Duomo
We had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Brunelleschi! It was a short walk to the Duomo, shopping areas, Brera neighborhood. We booked 3 rooms and 1 room given to us was huge with a separate sleeping area with a sofa bed although we booked a standard room for 2 persons only. We were happy about that. The breakfast buffet was adequate.

NO ONSITE PARKING. It says “parking available” and that is a public garage next door, which had hardly any spaces left. The hotel itself is a little dated but VERY nice, and the location is EXCELLENT.

We stayed for 3 nights in a room with two twin beds and a sofa in a sitting area. Of note, the beds were larger than i expected and very firm. My hubs and I prefer a firm mattress so we were content. But another person may not appreciate it. The hotel was an excellent choice. Room was spacious, clean and well maintained. Nice closet space available. I learned that wash clothes are not a thing there lol. The desk said they had stronger blow dryers. If I had more hair to worry about I’d have gotten one. Hotel responded to emails quickly. With their help I confirmed we needed type C plug adapters and they put me in contact with a reasonable private car transfer company. Their partner transfer service drivers were on time and courteous. The included daily breakfast buffet was quite good; excellent selection of all food groups and several beverage choices. Prosciutto & fresh pineapple were my favorite surprises. Dining room was well staffed during this time. We had dinner in the main restaurant once. As there were only 10 tables, I was a little skeptical but we gave it a go. I highly recommend the lasagna and tiramisu! Service there was leisurely, so if you’re in a hurry consider another option. I’ve save the best for last. LOCATION! I’m not in good shape, but I was comfortable walking to every single attraction we had planned. I highly recommend this hotel as a home base for your Milan experience. Just stop your search now and click “book it”.

Hotel is just a few minutes aways by foot from the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Room was clean, spacious and had many amenities. Breakfast buffet had a variety of food choices. Parking was available nearby. The color scheme and decor seems a bit dated but that should not dissuade you from staying here.
