Found a real gem! Excellent services. Beautiful restored hotel. Everything you need: dining, bar, pool, hot tub, wonderful rooms, huge shower, clean, comfy, quiet. Like the layout of the superior double queens! Definite place to mark on our travels!

The room was a lot smaller than we had expected. Ive stayed in cruise ship rooms that were larger than this one. Smallest hotel room we’ve ever seen anywhere. Very disappointed as we’ve stayed at the hotel before but in other rooms. Definitely opt for the more expensive rooms if you’re claustrophobic

On first glance the hotel is lovely. But my room had the following: 1. Blood-stained sheets 2. Lamp shade next to the bed was in rags 3. A sharp carpet tack sticking straight up out of the carpet next to the bed. Additionally, this was a room with BRIGHT flood lights directly outside the windows. The light was impossible to keep out of the room. Had I been staying longer than one night I would have changed rooms. At checkout I brought all of these issues to the attention of the hotel staff. She assured me that I would be getting an apology and a partial refund when the manager arrived at 2 PM! The Settles is the most expensive and historic hotel in the region. Sadly, it is NOT worth the money.
