Hotel is great located for Miami Beach, it’s clean and comfortable. The only thing I’d say it’s about the breakfast place. Staff are terrible, I left without being served. I wonder how they are not trained

Quaint, cute, clean hotel with personality.. but not family friendly. Paper thin walls and very loud location. Beach access was just a short walk. Rooftop pool was great, the best part of our stay! Partnering restaurant next door was terrible. 2/4 of our dinner meals were disgusting and free breakfast was cold and tasteless. James at front desk should not work in customer service and was extremely rude when asked a simple question.

The location was perfect. The beach was a minute walk, and the room was very clean. Beds were comfortable and room was as advertised. The weak point is that the breakfast was poor.

The staff at this hotel truly made the experience exceptional. Jason, the front desk receptionist, went above and beyond to check us in smoothly. He offered great recommendations for nearby restaurants within walking distance. His hospitality was outstanding! The room was clean, the shower had great water pressure, and adjusting the room temperature was effortless. Overall, a fantastic stay at a great price—I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel and staff were great, offering excellent service and a comfortable stay. However, the restaurant that the hotel provided vouchers for could use some improvement. The hostess was more focused on her phone than her guests, and we waited around 15-20 minutes before being greeted by a server, as the hostess hadn't informed them we had arrived. The food also arrived cold, and the servers seemed overworked, which impacted the overall dining experience. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to improve communication between staff and ensure that all areas of service, including food temperature and customer interactions, are addressed.

Paid extra to have access to pool in sister hotel. Very few chairs. Towels for beach but no lounge chairs or umbrellas. Paid extra $60 at beach. Breakfast included had terrible slowwww service. Food always cold. Location is great. Staff try. Booked hop on hop off. Waited an hour didn’t stop. Expensive taxi fare from and to airport. $50 to $75.

My husband and I stayed at the penguin one night. We had our room upgraded to the top floor with the balcony. It was absolutely stunning to have the entire balcony to ourselves room 401. The only downside is the elevator doesn't go all the way up to the 4th floor so you will have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. if you're Able-Bodied it's not an issue. The hotel itself is old and I did see areas like the bathtub that had the landlord special. Painting over visible issues. The elevator was a little loud but honestly the balcony with the view was worth it for the price. Staying here for a small amount of time was great. Breakfast in the morning was great. The pool was nice and the beach is beautiful. Surprisingly quiet for the busy location. My husband and I would love to stay here again. Thank you to staff for making our trip welcoming and memorable. Great job!

We stayed in a king room on the 4th floor with a patio. I believe it’s the only room on the 4th floor. In dire need of an update/reno. Drapes and blinds need to be replaced. Molding needs to be dusted. Sliding door lock needs to be replaced. Bathroom is very very small. Plants on patios could use some TLC. Everything needs an update. You could hear the elevator from the room and all noises from it operating. Breakfast is provided by the restaurant next door which came to us cold so appears they are preserved on a plate and provided when the hotel guests arrive. No options. Just whatever they serve you on that plate. Only pro was location.

One of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. Comfortable beds. Surrounded by food options and restaurants if you don't have a car. Directly across the street from the beach. Very friendly front desk staff. Would absolutely stay here again.
