Reserved a front corner suite and it was a beautiful room. Very spacious. David was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the hotel and the area Because of the location of the front corner room street noise can be heard but it’s not overwhelming. Great property.

False advertising on Hotels.com

My two priorities for a hotel for this trip were valet parking and that they served breakfast. I chose to stay at The Marlin Hotel because it offered both of these amenities. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that they no longer had valet parking but there was a garage nearby. At this point I wasn’t going to search for new accommodations. I checked in and went to park my car. When I returned to the hotel, before going up to my room I asked what time they started serving breakfast. I was told they hadn’t served breakfast in a year, but there were nearby restaurants they could recommend. You can see from the pictures that they are still advertising valet parking and a breakfast buffet. The hotel blames Hotels.com. Hotels.com blames the hotel. I really didn’t want to give the hotel a bad review because everything else about it is lovely. The staff is friendly, the rooms are nice, and the location is excellent. However, I resent being misled and no one accepting responsibility for the inaccurate description online.

Great experience

The Marlin was clean, comfortable, and cozy. It’s a perfect location close to lots of excellent options for food and shops. The room was perfect for me and my husband. We will would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Miami.

Cool art deco hotel

Loved this art deco style hotel. We had a dinner at the restaurant on the main level that was fabulous! Great location, but partly because of the location, it is loud. The rooms are not sound proof so you hear everything that is happening on the street. The front desk was friendly.

Clean, comfortable but noisy

We stayed in a corner suite which was very roomy,however, the noise from Collins Ave with cars and motorcycles made it difficult to fall asleep. The windows are older, so would suggest replacing to help with this situation. Other than the noise, would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, bad policy

Lovely hotel very close to the beach in prime restaurant and bar area of South Beach. David was lovely and made check in a breeze. The ONLY reason we are giving a 4 star and not a 5 star was due to the fact that the front desk attendant would not give us any silverware from the restaurant to use in our room for a take out meal from another restaurant. She told us the only way to get tableware was to order room service and then suggested my husband go to Walgreens to purchase plasticware and napkins. REALLY??? Completely unacceptable. Sadly, he did so we ended up with a multi-pack of silverware and a double roll of paper towels because that is what Walgreens had.
