The hotel was very nice. Great location right across from the beach and had daily beach chairs. Our room from the pictures was to have a small table and two chairs, but did not. Overall though it is a great hotel and locaton.

We booked this room months ago. An Ocean Front room. We flew across the country. When we arrived they had cancelled our room!! I had called 3 times to confirm the reservation.. They sent us an email while we were on the plane.. I explained we had a new credit card.. Because ours was compromised.. They found an inferior room and charged the same price. Very disappointed. They blamed it on Expedia.. We also didn’t have any hot water ..They did take off the room fee. Be prepared for a lot of hidden charges..

Middling experience

Good overall but not having access to ice except through bell desk was not convenient. The phone did not work in the room and there were no directions to connect to Chromecast (had to have engineering come up and teach the “cheat code” on the remote). The room was not serviced by housekeeping by 4:30, even though I specifically contacted guest services at 9:30 am to confirm service. As a result, we did not get to have our room cleaned and had to just get extra towels.

We loved the location and access to the beach. The room we booked was less than average: we were at the end of a hallway through a door near the stairwell to the kitchen. The odor was unpleasant upon opening at the stairwell. We felt secluded. Our phone didn’t work in the room. We were thankful our request for an extended check out was accommodated though when our toddler caught a cold the night before our flight. Every encounter with staff was very positive.

The location of the Gabriel is incredibly convenient, the breakfast was amazing & the rooms were super spacious and clean. However, even though it says the rooms are soundproof they are not & the location on ocean drive gets pretty loud after 6pm. I recommend good earplugs!
