My husband and I attempted to check into our room at 9:25 pm. Our room was pre-booked, prepaid, and we checked on via the first portal at 12 noon. Well upon arrival and check in our room did not have a functioning AC. As a matter of fact, there was a service notice on the AC which stated "service required as of December 2024"! To add insult to an already frustrating ordeal, we were placed in a floor with a non working elevator panel, we had to take the stairs to another floor just to reach the lobby.
But wait there is more.... Once hubby and I reached the front desk to alert them of the AC issue, we are infomed that a maintenance tech can fix the issue in 30 to 40 min. We were also informed that there were no other rooms available for the night. So we wait in the lobby for 20 minutes or so before hubby and I inquire about the repairs to the AC or another room. The front desk agent mentions there are other rooms just not in the category we have reserved and that the are waiting for other guests to check in. We were in shock and in disbelief. At that point, I'm wondering if this is discriminatory (seeing as how hubby and I are both minorities). Hubby requested a refund and only after 10 more minutes of waiting for our room or the refund to be granted, was the refund actually given.
