Feb 28, 2025,1am, checked in. The check-in process was a bit of a process, as I use apple pay for charges, the hotel was left instructions by the manager that they needed a copy of my card used to book the room through Expedia. After a lengthy process we were finally able to get the room assignment, we immediately left and to grab a quick bite to eat at the local McDonalds. We then went back to the hotel, went inside and tried to enter our room. Our troubles continued as when we reached room 606 and found that our keys did not work. We made our way back downstairs, where we were given new keys, these keys also did not work. After our second unsuccessful attempt, an associate sent security up with us to determine the issue. Security informed us that the room had a new lock, necessitating yet another set of keys. Security eventually opened the door for us, but we were met with extreme disappointment at the conditions inside.
The room was in a disgustful state: the carpet was sticky, filthy, and torn, while the drapes were dirty and stained. the beds, only had sheets and pillows, lacking any blankets or comforters. For our party of 4 there was 1 towel only. The wall and around AC unit has black mold on them. Given the deplorable and unhealthy conditions, we opted not to unpack, we turned in our keys, told no refund. I am extremely disappointed with Expedia for advertising this property.
