Riviera Hotel South Beach -disappointing
The staff members, including the people who worked at the front desk were wonderful and so helpful. However the actual room was very disappointing. I was only there for 2 nights because I was attending a special conference taking place at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The room was very small, yet had a king size bed. There was no actual full closet - they instead had a tall single storage cabinet for guests to put clothes in. And the safe was located at the very top in that storage cabinet and I couldn't reach it. The sink was outside the bathroom which had the toilet and shower. The bathroom door was a glass see through door. There was no phone in the room. I asked to get a wake up call. Instead of calling me on my cell phone number (which they had)? Someone knocked on the outside of my door and said, "This is your wakeup call." The staff members were great, but I would never stay there again.

This was hands down the most disappointing stay I've ever had anywhere in my life. I will elaborate below but if you don't have time to read this whole thing my summary is that my suite was filthy, blood stained sheets, dirty room, no power in the bedroom, Carpet in the hallway smelled like urine, no maid service ever came, staff was unresponsive and never helped me when I complained just pushed me off and said wait until the manager comes in but the manager never reached out. The amenities were closed which I should have been notified about prior because I would not have stayed there had I known. The desk manager smiled and stared at me when I complained. They didn't even try to make it better in any way. Didn't offer to come clean up or anything. The beds were rock hard I slept maybe two hours each night. There were stains on the mini fridge that looked like it hadn't been wiped down in years. Even when I made a small request prior to check in, to have a room with a full length mirror, they would not accommodate. This was just a huge joke and a waste of money and it ruined our trip we had planned for a year. I've stayed at cheaper hotels and had a better experience. I guess I learned my lesson. They have done nothing to make up for any of this. Awful property and awful service. Save yourself the trouble do not stay here. Parking was also a nightmare.

loved the location, staff was great! Roof top pool was closed for repairs There is a loud club next door, but that is probably true for the whole of South Beach. We loved it!

This was the most amazing hotel i have ever stayed at!!! The women working the front desk where the nicest women ever. Me and my family(husband, son, his wife, his wives mom and aunt, 5 cats and three dogs)ran frim the hurricane Milton. When walked in, the lady at the desk new we where under pressure and she said "Don't worry Mama we got you now, we wull take good care of you" and thats all we needed just kind words. Not knowing what was going to happen back home. We felt comfortable. The where so amazing i will pack up my three dogs and go back again. Thank you for making our stay and our time in need, great!!!

Staff was friendly. Lovely bar/restaurant area. Very welcoming to dogs on the property. I felt secure there too. Very close to the beach too. Only 2 blocks away and nice access path to it. Nice restaurants in the area also. I give the whole experience 5 stars.

This property is in a prime location. My was clean and nice. They also offer their guest happy hour drinks at near by restaurant. Definitely an enjoyable place.
