Checking in was very easy. Very friendly staff members. The room was very spacious and had all of the amenities we may have needed. Hotel was perfectly located, had a bus stop directly outside and lots of restaurants nearby including a 7-eleven just across the street.

Unacceptable for cost

The amenities and location are why I chose to stay here. I also favor Marriott over any other hotel chains. I was disappointed to start as our room was dirty and had a musty smell. One of my 3 kids ended up sick but it seemed to be only when we were in the room. On day 2 we found bugs crawling up the walls of the bathroom and one side of the bunk beds. I called the front desk, they said they would send someone up right away, no one ever came for the next 2 days to address the issue despite me calling again and again. Housekeeping would come and replace towels but do nothing else so I would empty trash and leave it in the hallway for them each morning. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not for the high price and fees you pay compared to what you get

Hotel double charged me for the stay. I paid Expedia for the stay upfront, and the hotel took a card for incidentals at check in. Upon leaving, they charged my card for the entire value of the stay plus the typical additional fees. Nobody in their accounting department is responding to me, so likely I'll have to deal with the credit card company issuing them a chargeback and then we can fight it out from there. More work and time than should be needed for something so minor. I had a second booking I made for family to join us on the trip, and there were no issues with that one.

There was equipment hanging from the ceiling, the “pool” on the rooftop was so full of chemicals that it made me break out in hives, zero water for a a while. They said it was because they were doing testing on water, however a pipe must have burst because the carpet was absolutely soaked. After a shower, the vent above was leaking due to condensation, so not very good venting in the bathrooms. The bathrooms have a sliding door that does not lock or close all the way, a gap in the middle. The best part about staying there was the bar on the main floor. The bartender was great at conversation and making amazing drinks. The front desk staff and staff holding our luggage was very kind as well and accommodating when I needed to retrieve items mid way. The location is very convenient for walking to the beach, convenience stores, and tourist shopping. For groceries, it’s about a mile which isn’t too bad.

I am an early riser and there was no way to get coffee at the hotel before 7. There are no coffee makers in the rooms. My room was very small and felt cramped. For the price I expected more. The gym was also small. Get there early if you want a chance at a machine or weights unless you are ok to wait.

nice location, facilities and comfy bed . Nice touch of one aperitif included. expensive for no breakfast included , just a bit of coffee cold if not empty jar.- kids just water. Small room. They forgot to clean the room for one day- we asked in english-no understanding-then in spanish no understanding as cleaner on the floor spoke french!>!? attitude of the rest of staff was really disappointing anyway!
