Cute but is it worth the price??

This place has the potential to be amazing but kind of misses the mark. The room I stayed in was small, which was fine as I was alone but it would have been a tight fit if there was more than one suitcase in the room. The windows were dirty as were the tiles in the shower. There was visible damage to the wall in the room - looked like a very amateur effort had been made to repair something. The location of the room I stayed in was about a block from the reception, which was a bit inconvenient when you need help from reception. I was told I could ask for a late check out which I did, but my card was deactivated at the original check out time…went back to reception and they tried to reactivate but it didn’t work…frustrating when it’s a long walk back to reception to get help. Also my hotels.com booking said it would come with a bottle of wine which it did not. On the positive side, the location is excellent with lots to see nearby and good places to eat. And the hotel is a cool old building which has been tastefully decorated.

Conflicted but good stay

I’m a bit conflicted because my last stay at Esme was perfect but I’m dissatisfied with the service during this stay. This time there were a lot of issues on the part of the service. First when arriving to my room my bed was damaged and needed to be fixed. I needed to go tell the front desk immediately and wait for this to be resolved. As a hotels.com member I was missing the perks (bottle of wine) also. Also, since I was paying the resort fee, I wanted to utilize the beach services. Despite double checking at the front desk about the towels and cooler (she basically just provided a scan code), I got to the beach to realize that I should have been given a cooler at the front desk and had to walk back. I think service could have been better this trip but I have had previous excellent experiences here. The pool and amenities here are amazing.

Very cute little boutique hotel right on the Espanola Way. The service was exceptional. I’m sensitive to smell and the scent the maid sprayed was too strong but it cleared up hours later. I wish the light was a little brighter for when you read. Overall a great hotel.

Beautiful place for a stay. With the pool, bars and restaurants on the same block all within 5 minute walk of Ocean Drive, while still retaining some peace and quiet, it's perfect.
