Very Good

Our stay was pleasant for one night only. There was a lot of music and entertainment in the town. The hotel was good value for money indeed however there was an uncomfortable smell coming from the sewage. Its an old building though so its expected. Overall, if youre staying for one or two nights- its good enough.
Our room was very spartan and small. The towels were stiff and could stand up on their own. There was a urinal cake in the closet (who knows why) that made the whole room smell like a urinal. We ended up checking out and driving to Mérida and stayed there for the night.
This hotel is right next to the town Plaza, hence the name. Convenient location, easy parking. Free breakfast is a great bonus. Staff is very friendly. Thanks!

Older hotel, very basic amenities.
This older hotel offers very basic service, basic no-frills rooms. The room smelled like varnish, turning on the air conditioner (which worked very well) helped. The shower was a little strange to use. The beds were very hard. The person at reception was a bit frustrated when she discovered I dont speak Spanish well, & she didn't speak English. This hotel is a block from the central square, which is quite pretty. Unfortunately, we were there on a Friday night. Live music began in the square around 7pm and didnt stop until around 1am. Needless to say, it was not a restful night.

Location and breakfast are very good .
Hotel Staff very friendly
Lovely hotel, excellent service. Very quiet. Hot shower. Nice breakfast. Air conditioner appreciated. Hotel needs to replace towels or use softerener.very very rough. Blankets on beds rather than just a sheet would be nice.
There isn't much to see in Ticul--it was just a stop over so we could visit Uxmal and other sites on the Ruta Puuc. Hotel is a bit dated but very clean and has a nice breakfast included. Reception staff was less than friendly and not helpful in finding the ceramics workshop we wanted to visit.
It was a fine hotel. Clean. Breakfast was good. Everyone was friendly. Beds weren't the best I've slept in, but it was fine for the 2 days we were there.
My family loved the space & beds available in this hotel and its location was very comfortable, downtown the small village.
The personnel was very kind & helpful at all times.
Recommend to anyone who is traveling and visiting pyramids, especially Uxmal.

Our experience at this hotel was better than expected. This is a clean basic hotel in a historic area. The staff was friendly organized and prepared for our arrival. There rooms had air conditioning and the windows were screened. The breakfast was satisfying and the staff were very attentive. This was an overall satisfactory experience. If one is accustomed to 3 star and + hotels geared to tourist and business travel this may not be the hotel to choose.
However, if staying adjacent to and observing the activities around the Central Plaza of Mexican town consider the Plaza Hotel. The helpfulness of the residents who went out of their way helping us find a recommended restaurant located in the middle of a side street in the dark was appreciate.

Best Hotel in TIcu, Yucatan Mexico
I went to do a bike race in Tekax, Yucatan Mexico; but since there are no hotels advertised for Tekax, we got one in Ticul which is approximately 45 mins away. The hotel was what you would expect in such a small town, and actually well worth the $35 I paid for my room. The hotel and room is clean, with AC and a spacious bathroom. The hotel has a restaurant on site and is in the center of town near other restaurants and stores. We found walking around very safe, and I do not hesitate to recommend either this town, and hotel.
Nice hotel, well kept, very clean. Good breakfast. Perfect for visiting the archaeological sites, the churches, and the villages on the Puuc Route.
Good local bread and pastry shop just across the street.

Close to centro
Great value and location...,in a town full of shoe stores
If you plan a two day trip from Merida to see the Convent Route and the Puuc Route, this is the perfect midway place to stay. The hotel has everything you need for a quiet night sleep and in the morning a wonderful breakfast is included!
Best hotel that we stayed in ftom our circle drive through the Yucatan. Only complaint was the constant church bells from 6:00 am to midnight and every 15 minutes in between. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was excellent.

Do not stay here. They will charge you twice
THe hotel itself was fine. Clean rooms, nice food A/C etc.. I did however had a problem with them not recognizing that my reservation had been fully paid via Hotels.com. When I was checking out they were insistant that they had no dealings with this website and I would need to pay 850 pesos for the room or they would call the police. I would not stay here or reccomend this hotel to anyone else and I would go so far as to advise that hotels.com remove it from their listings.
This hotel is off the beaten path. I had a rental car and on my way to Mayapan Ruins. It was hard to find a little. From Mayapan Ruins, go toward the city Tiket (or something like that) do not take that cut off, continue on the highway to the cut off to the city "MAMA" go to the end of town and see a sign to Ticul then in Ticul the streets are a grid with odd and even numbers, just go in circles till you find the main square and the church. It faces the town square and the church. then you can journey onto the Latun Guitas the caves then the Puuc Route the back way to the Uxmal Ruins via Ticul. Really a great trip. The town of Ticul was very small, no place to really eat. The hotel offered a little restaurant very low prices, but very little and very simple menu. the rooms were very clean and the staff very very nice. They were waiting for us and had block a parking space in front of the lobby. Nothing to do in the town, its a passing through the interior of the Yucatan Peninsula. I think the area speaks more of a Mayan language, it was very hard to speak Spanish there.
