Crack head hotel
Horrible, crack hotel. Smell of gas leak made me sick and my kids sick until we left. At 430 someone banging on my door, covered peep hole and told me to open the door. I responded hell no. Scary place, don’t bring your family here

The morning checkout person - Monica at Memphis Graceland La Quinta - refused to give me a checkout receipt upon checkout this morning. I am traveling for business and I require as CEO of my company - as does my CFO - a checkout receipt for all expense reports. I could not get a printed or emailed checkout receipt from Monica. She first said she couldn’t access my checkout receipt and then when I asked if I was in her system she said yes and that she didn’t have to give me a checkout receipt. I have never run into this before. I don’t know if it’s laziness, lack of customer service, or a training issue where she doesn’t know how to provide a printed or emailed receipt but given the number of people who come through Memphis and stay at your hotel I hope this is addressed immediately. Thank you!!

If not for the great customer service, I would not have given it 3 stars. Pillows I had were old, cushion almost gone. Breakfast could have more options. Eggs and sausage didnt looked cooked. Having the waffle station was good but the waffles didnt taste good, even with butter and syrup. Stayed at other La Quinta's before. This one just need an upgrade.

The fire sprinkler looked like it had 20 years of dust on it, there was trash in the drawers, no remote for the tv. When the front desk person brought me a remote, it was filthy and missing the back, there was an old key in the bathroom which made me wonder if it had been cleaned at all.

This stay was not too good
1. Room was missing the tv remote had to go downstairs to the desk because the room phone was inopt. 2. Was greeted by a roach in the restroom, killed a total of 2 out of 3. Prolly arrived via previous guests. 3. Room key had to be reactivated 3 or 4 times; very annoying because several times my hands were full and I had to go back downstairs with everything. I kept the key away from my phone. 5. The cleaning staff was very friendly.

Solid Stay
My mom and I stayed here during our trip to the Liberty Bowl last December. The experience was good. The price was very affordable and the gated parking was a plus. The hotel is right next to the airport and even though it is out of the way from the Mississippi River, Beale, and the other key places, finding an Uber was not difficult and affordable as well.

Just not worth the stay
I was not happy at all with this hotel! It was a last minute trip right after Christmas in order to attend the Liberty Bowl. When checking in, only 1 person was on staff. She was helping deal with another customer checking in and couldn’t get any help from her manager. Our first, non-smoking room had some trash on the floor and a cigarette butt on the floor, not to mention that stale smoke smell… our 2nd room had no trash, but also no shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the containers… not a big deal, just an indicator of how well they clean/check the rooms. Breakfast wasn’t great… they had a hard time keeping up and the juice machine just leaked all over. I guess you get what you pay for and on such a busy weekend… this was just not a good experience for us.
