Solid overall stay/experience
While there were many hits and a few misses, Caption still provides a good overall experience in a top-notch location. The service is amazing, and the accommodations/amenities are so-so. That said, thanks again to all of you for a solid overall experience!

The room does not have a view of the river. The parking and valet is slow and shuts down at 11pm but they don't tell you that you have to go to the other hotel that they are connected too. The luggage racks are located at the other hotel. There is no one at the front desk or valet at night. Uber delivery drivers and other guests could not get in touch with anyone. They don't give you the WiFi password, tell you the bar hours or offer breakfast. It's 33.00 to valet park per day and 75.00 per day for incidentals. Also there is a resort fee. The rate quoted on hotel.com is not what you pay when you arrive. I'm still waiting on my refund for my incidentals and it's been almost a month. I called the hotel and they said check with the bank or the app I booked with but it's on Caption because they charged more than what was listed when the room was booked. I found out that the connecting hotel provides better service. The pictures lie. There is not river view. There is only one restaurant in walking distance. It's close to Beale Street but on the end with nothing to do. It's closer to the Pyramid. Your view is of industrial rooftops. The rooms were clean and you have to scan your card on the elevator to get to you room( nobody tells you this). There isn't a microwave in the room. It's not worth the price because of all the hidden costs that are not included when you book.

Issue after issue after issue after issue...
The room was cold when we got there; thermostat broken. Waited 45 minutes for help to come, then had to call back to check status of repair and had to wait 30 more minutes for repairman to get there. He came, fixed it, left. Never got warmer. Had to call back two more times to get it fixed. Then tried to lower the privacy blind and it was completely off the roller. Had to get the repairman to come back a third time. Then noticed there was no coffee pot in the room. Walked downstairs for a cup of coffee only to be told that they don't have complimentary coffee at all but I could buy some at their coffee bar. Lastly, texted to get my car out of valet parking, got an automatic response that the car would be ready in 15 minutes. After 25 minutes, I checked with the front desk and was told that they didn't know we were ready for the car. Waited 10 more minutes for the car. Completely understaffed and/or undertrained. And the coffee situation was the icing on the cake.

Overall, I thought the property was great value. It's literally connected to the "Centric" (which has a nice rooftop bar). The rooms were comfortable and clean and it's a 2 minute walk to Beale. The check in experience definitely needs improvement. Our room wasn't ready at 4 so we went for a drink next door. Came back around 6pm and they still hadn't checked the room. Knowing we had already tried to check in, I think our rooms should have been a priority so we could get in our room quickly.

We had a nice stay at the Caption by Hyatt. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel appeared to be a remodeled factory building. We parked our car across the street for $15.

Last minute overnight stay from Knoxville we originally had of a restaurant down in Mississippi and decided to stop on Beale Street for some Partying I have a desk right and was the closest to Beale. Loved every thing about our rooms decor
