This was a great stay. Great value for a good room. I’m melbourne based but wanted a room for a night out at a concert and would definitely book here again when I need to stay in the city!

We stayed at The Rendezvous Hotel for the F1 weekend. The room was fabulous, comfy bed, great lounge room area. Cocktails in the lounge every night were fab and the lounge area was so comfortable to sit and relax

Central enough location, right by Flinders station and river. Rioms and bathroom are.small but Hotel seems nice enough always waiting for elevators as one was out of use,

Pros: walkable to mostly everything. Staff were nice. Cons: the toilet makes a very loud sound after use. I like the antique look inside of the building, however it definitely needs some work on renovation. The windows need some cleaning.

From the moment we arrived the friendly helpful service did not waiver. Our room was clean, very comfortable, extremely quiet and the view of the Yarra was a bonus. We will definitely return as the buffet breakfast is my partner's new favorite of hotel buffets available!

Check in was a disaster. System was down which can't be helped but we were told to take a seat and they would cone and let us know when they could find our room. We waited 20 mins and no one even made an attempt to find us. We had to go back ask if they had found a room for us and then they just gave us the room key. By this time a bus of tourist arrived in which they didn't plan for and it caused chaos. One lift was out of order and they couldn't accommodate getting everyone to their rooms for the congestion. When ended up leaving our bag with the one concierge trying to deal with everything as we had to get to the rugby. We were also denied the buffet breakfast which was booked because their system was down and they didn't believe me when i said it came with the booking. I had to retrieve the email to prove we were entitled to it. I gave the staff some feedback regarding the poor service and they just shrugged it off. I had to demand they write down i had booked the buffet breakfast so i wouldn't be charged again. Very disappointed as we stay here often but will consider a change for next time

We really enjoyed our stay at Rendezvous Hotel. The room was clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. The hotel itself is stunning - ornate ceilings and fitting give it a very luxurious vibe. The buffet breakfast was delicious - and there was plenty of everything with no waiting for food to arrive. Highly recommended

Our Favourite Melbourne Hotel

We love staying at the Rendezvous. We have stayed here twice, and we have enjoyed the experience far more than any five star hotels we have stayed at in Melbourne. The building is a beautiful historic building and the old-world charm is carried throughout the interior into the rooms and public areas such as the bar, whilst the hotel still maintains a contemporary feel. The rooms are well appointed with extremely comfy beds and excellent shower heads. The staff are wonderful in reception, the restaurant and the bar - very courteous, friendly and helpful. We really enjoy happy hour at the bar - the cocktails are great and the bar has a lovely ambience. The hotel is in a perfect location - there is a tram stop just metres from the door and the train station is across the road, however the rooms are quiet and we didn't hear any traffic noise. It is just a short tram ride to anywhere in the city and so close to shops, cafes and restaurants and bars. The hotel is spotlessly clean, however housekeeping services in our room were hit and miss - our towels weren't replaced one day (but housekeeping delivered them as soon as we notified them), and our wine glasses were washed on only a couple of days out of the four. On the plus side, the room carpet was vacuumed during our stay (which doesn't always occur in hotel rooms) and all other housekeeping was a good standard. The buffet breakfast was included in our rate and we enjoyed it, although barista coffee was not included.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. My fridge iced up and the door would not could, dripping on my snacks so they gave me a meal credit. Location was very handy as was a pick up spot for Great Ocean Rd tour. Would stay there again.

As soon as we walked to our room there was a tray filled with dirty dishes. Like someone was in our room. The ph in the room was disconnected for reception so we had to come down to reception and tell them to have it taken away. There also should be a better deal for parking. But for convenience to everywhere, it was good.

The property has character and is beautiful. Tony was very helpful We had to live with dirty glasses and bottles outside another persons room that we had to walk past daily. They were not collected until we had alerted the staff, yet not till the following morning
