They did pretty well through the hurricane. A lot of drinking in lobby. Lobby and bar are connected. Food portions were small. 9$ fries were about a handful.

I stayed at the Hyatt Place for 5 nights last week as I had come to the area due to my father’s passing. My mother and I did not have room service for the entire time we were there. We checked out at ~11am and went to the airport for a flight. My mom realized she had left her outfit (black blazer, white shirt, and black pants) she wore to my father’s viewing in the hotel room closet. I called the hotel explaining the situation and the front desk said I could email them a prepaid shipping label and they would send it back to us. I was very grateful and within 15 minutes I had purchased a label from USPS online and emailed it to them. The hotel proceeded to call me and said that no clothes were found in the closest and that the room had been cleaned in the morning and no other guests had checked in. My mother later told me that her jacket was around $500 so it must have been a brand that one of the cleaning crew liked. Hurricane Milton arrived during my stay and it seemed the hotel was busy due to the evacuations from the west coast. I’d encourage those guests to double check their belongings as there appears to be a thief in the midst at Hyatt Place. I spoke to the manager and they gave me a $26 credit for the shipping label. Thanks Hyatt for a terrible experience of an already terrible week.
