Awesome break in the City of Melbourne
We had a great stay in the Dorsett and made use of pool and sauna and gym with bikes step machines and running machines and weights. Restaurants were also good with friendly service inside the hotel. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate a friend's birthday. The staff were so thoughtful, we were left a bar of chocolate, some pops & birthday hats, also a personally-written birthday card from the hotel staff... such a lovely surprise. The check-in and check-out processes were efficient. I love the facilities, namely the gym & pool, including sauna, spa & steam room. Dorsett is definitely on my top of my list for a staycay in Melb CBD.

Check in was ok, staff pleasant enough, asked for bottled water as the rooms do not have anything in, told to use the vending machine, go to the vending machine, the vending machine has no water in it, told to walk to the 7/11 at 11.30pm, the Duty Manager could not have been less helpful or cared any less.

The Hotel and facilities were clean, and modern, and the staff were professional and polite. I did not like that there were no snacks in the minibar (not even a bottle of water). So, if i wanted anything to eat, even a light snack I had to order from the Bistro or go out to eat. If I wanted a drink of water I would have to get it from the tap in the bathroom next to the toilet.It would be great to have the convenience of clean drinking water, a basic human necessity, available in the room. Despite this, the room was very quiet, and the bed was comfortable enough. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a good selection of food.
