We booked Atlantis Hotel for our trip to Melbourne, and it turned out to be one of the most unpleasant hotel experiences we have ever had.
Firstly, our initial room, booked through Expedia (from January 5 to 6), was extremely disappointing. We were given the worst room without a window, located in a corner and designated for people with disabilities. Staying in this room was extremely uncomfortable and did not meet our expectations at all.
When we approached the reception desk on the morning of January 6 to discuss the issue, the night shift staff member was rude and completely uninterested in resolving the problem. Furthermore, although we were initially informed that breakfast was included, we were made to pay for it. The breakfast itself was incredibly poor — just bread, coffee, and an omelet.
Additionally, for our second booking (from January 6 to 11), we decided to check out on the morning of January 6 due to the terrible conditions and appalling attitude of the staff. However, the hotel refused to refund any money for the unused nights, even though we left the room immediately and promptly requested a cancellation.
In conclusion, the service quality was dreadful, the staff lacked professionalism, and the management showed absolutely no willingness to accommodate their guests. We are deeply disappointed with this hotel and strongly advise against staying here. This is not a place where you can expect decent treatment as a guest.
