The place and rooms were really clean, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The view of the beach was amazing, and the atmosphere was very peaceful. Sometimes, a band would play on the beach, which was a nice touch and made the experience even better. Absolutely recommend staying at this hotel.

Review of Viaggio Resort Mazatlán If you're an American traveler who isn’t fluent in Spanish, this resort might not be the best choice. I recently stayed here, with my 24 year old daughter, in January 2025. Our stay at Viagio Resort Mazatlán was underwhelming, and I cannot recommend it. First, the advertising for this resort is misleading. They claim there are three restaurants on-site, but in reality, there is only one buffet. The outside pool Cafe served up a limited menu which included hotdogs, hamburgers. And the Cafe menu had the old deserts and some wrapped dry sandwhiches. While the food on Thursday through Sunday at the buffet was fresh and varied, it was clear during the rest of the week that leftovers were being reused, and the selection was sparse. On Friday nights you can sign up for Italian night, which was great and Saturday night you can sign up for Grill night but you have to do that ahead of time. We only knew by reading reviews. They did not tell us at check in. Keep in mind on Mondays (maybe other days too but we saw only Monday with this) the resort sells day passes to cruise ship visitors, which causes the pool area to become overcrowded and chaotic. But that was fine because the pool was freezing cold. Housekeeping was another major disappointment. Towels provided were flimsy and worn, and service quality seemed heavily dependent on tipping. If you don’t tip generously, you can expect subpar cleaning and essentials like tissues to go unreplenish

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at and offered great value for a beach front property. The buffet offered traditional Mexican food that was exceptional in quality and freshness. The facility was well maintained, the rooms were spacious and the ocean view was worth every penny spent to experience a truly beautiful Mazatlan sunset! Highly recommended.

We had a great time. The amenities are a pool, coffee shop, buffet and drinks are included if you pay for the all inclusive package. Most drinks are free but just a warning they only use cheap liquor in the drink package. If you would like higher quality liquor that is not included in the package. I highly recommend staying here

Nice rooms, ocean view (if you choose that option) and, clean. One odd thing that happened was, I had ordered a McCallan drink at their small Cafe. They didn’t have a price for it so they asked for our room number to charge the card on file. We left it at that. Since I had gone with about 24 other people, staying in different rooms, once we got back that same night they asked almost all my family and friends staying at the hotel, if they knew me, in order to charge me for that one drink. I understand I have to pay. I had 0 problems with that but, to ask an almost entire group of people if they knew me and to tell them why? A little unprofessional and invasive. A quick call to the room, a note OR at checkout, would’ve been a better way to communicate that matter.
