Good Place for One Night Stop
Everything was fine. Staff was friendly and nice. Room was okay, no problems. Shower curtain was very worn and in need of replacing--we reported it ti the front desk. Breakfast was decent.

Housekeeping was requested, but no one showed up, even though I stayed for six days. I had to go to the front desk for towels. The motel is low-budget, so do not expect too much. Breakfast was really good, though. The bed smelled like wet linen.

Our bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. There was dirt in the sink and a hair/dirt in the shower. The breakfast area was out of coffee and when I brought it to the attention of the front desk they said “well there is coffee over there” and pointed at the lobby. There was a funky smell in the rooms ( we booked 2 rooms and both had a strange damp/musty odor). The front desk seemed more concerned about the number of rooms that needed to be cleaned and chatting with a housekeeper versus answering any questions. The decor had apparently been updated. However, the hotel itself is quite old. The bathrooms are quite small, my son had to enter it with his shoulders turned and while he’s 6 foot he isn’t a bodybuilder. There is a mirror outside of the bathroom with a counter there are no plug-ins so the space is rather pointless.

The doors surrounding the building did not require a key to open so anyone can come in. The washer and dryer were dirty. There was a cigarette butt in the dryer. The walls were thin so you could hear conversations next door. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The property looks like it has been updated, but it was done poorly. It was dirty, there was hair on the shampoo bottle in the shower. The carpet in the hallways was stained, it looked like there was a paint spill and poor clean up. There is one wall outlet available for use in the bathroom only. So everything had to be done in bathroom- coffee, styling, even charging because the outlet in lamp does not fit the apple charger. One of the fitted sheets had a stain on it. The area was ok, located across the street from the university. It was affordable.

Renovated rooms are clean and spacious. Front desk attendant was very helpful and friendly. We experienced some noise from the pool area, but it didn’t change our overall experience.
