Pleasant surprise!
We were not expecting much for a motel that has obviously been around for a long time (i.e. old), but we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were quiet, the beds were comfortable, and everything was very clean. The only disappointment was the onsite restaurant has closed.

There is no cell phone service there. There was no microwave and no breakfast. No table or chair in the room. It was sufficient for sleeping. The hostess in the morning was nice. I doubt I will stay there again.

This place was very clean, even a little outdated, but the owners are taking a good care. Clean beds, clean showers and bathrooms. Reasonable pricing. I would stay there again.

We have stayed at the Motor Inn many times and will most likely return. However, the room we were given at first was not a recently renovated room. The carpet and room overall was filthy, the odor in the room was not pleasant, the mattresses and linens were stained. The shower head was very visibly loose, and the floor was uneven from water damage most likely. The age of the establishment was very visible in this room. Upon asking the young lady at the front desk she provided us with a different room that had been newly renovated with clean laminate floor and a new shower/bath. It was still the older establishment but you could see the effort put in to keep it clean and well maintained. I suggest not placing customers in the older rooms until they have been renovated!

The motel rooms were very dated and our beds were too firm to get a good nights sleep. Could have been cleaner, I saw crumbs behind the night stand. Also they placed all the guests in rooms right next to each other and it looked like they could have spaced guests out in the motel to allow for more quiet space. Staff was not overly helpful but not rude either. If you are ok with dated rooms , the price was reasonable.

Marlinton Motor Inn was wonderdul
Very good. Very friendly. Helped us find a great place to eat. We were very satisfied with Marlington Motor Inn. Very quiet. Coffee to make for in the next morning Needs a little updating but we did not want to pay $200+ for one night. We only wanted to rest and sleep and not own a room. Would stay again.

If you like nostalgia, this is your place. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The tongue and groove paneling made it a little dark. Draperies were closed due to glare from the pool. It was a good place to sleep, shower, and close to tourist destinations for a good price.
