Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Pictures don’t show how old and ugly place this hotel is. Old room, smelly and filthy. It was only a one night sleep and wish I would know before. Too much money for the room and the very poor customer service they have.

The staff was very friendly! We had a deluxe room and it was more than expected! The breakfast was very good, with plenty of options for everyone! We would definitely stay here again if we were headed to Yosemite!

We chose the hotel as a base for our two day trips to Yosemite National Park and were very happy with it. We had a room with two queen size beds. These were comfortable and there is a bedside table with plenty of power sockets. There is also a TV, a microwave, a coffee machine with coffee powder, cups etc. and a large fridge. There was also air conditioning and a table with two chairs. We also had a balcony. The bathroom with shower tray was clean, everything worked and there was small shampoo etc. as well as a hairdryer. The WIFI worked very well both in the room and in the pool area. Parking was easy in the courtyard directly in front of the room. The pool and the hot jacuzzi are open from 9am to 10pm. There are also towels and picnic benches in a green area. After our long hike, we spent the evening relaxing in the jacuzzi. Breakfast was served daily from 7 - 9 am. There was seating both inside and outside. The selection was good for an American breakfast. There was coffee, orange juice and apple juice, two kinds of cereal, waffle iron, toast, bread and jams as well as hot sausages, eggs and apples and muffins. Overall, we were very satisfied with the Miners Inn and can recommend it.

Miner’s Inn is convenient to Yosemite, but definitely in need of a facelift. Rooms are dated with few amenities. Plugs didn’t work and lamps flickered. Shower head is set so low I had to crouch to wet my head. There was no hair dryer. Hot tub was lovely. Breakfast was adequate, but not great. Breakfast room is in need of renovation. Not terrible for the price, but buyer beware.
