place - our room on the waterfront was basic but very nice and great location. Our welcome when we arrived early and asked to leave our bags there while we explored - was very poor. The receptionist was clearly not feeling well and was totally unwelcoming to the point of rudeness! The lady who replaced her when we came back to check in was lovely, but if we had not paid up front, we would not have stayed there based on our lack of welcome and friendliness

It was waterfront and even though there was quite a bit of noisy activity, it was very pleasant. Screened in porch in my unit and a nice place to sit and enjoy.

Only one complaint, if you plan on sleeping in, you won’t, the chicken on the property start going crazy at 4am and don’t stop. Other than that the stay, the room, everything was good

Wonderful staff. The pool area and marina were excellent. Next door was a bar and restaurant. Across street was breakfast restaurant. Golf and beach were close. So glad we rented there for 5 days

This was a great spot. Absolutely no complaints. All of the staff were friendly. Throughly enjoyed watching the pelicans and manatees right at our front door. There was a pool and multiple grills that we could have used. Went to a seafood restaurant just down the street a had a wonderful meal. Thanks

I’m fully aware I booked a room at a value-based property but… To say Kingsail Resort is a resort is to say MsDonald’s is fine dining. It’s a $49 room in any random hotel off of a freeway in the rest of America. It’s old and in desperate need of a facelift as the walls have several cracks in them, and the fridge and electric range/cooktop look like they are from the 1970s. There are two remotes for the smart TV but good luck figuring out how to access the TV programming (and I’m fairly good with that kinda stuff), and there are no instructions provided in the room. But the real deal-breaker is the included WiFi their marketing on Expedia says they offer. It doesn’t actually work. I was told to walk around the property to get a better connection. Sorry, but that’s ridiculous. Would I stay again? No. It’s 2025, if you can’t provide reliable and semi fast WiFi - and there is only one bar of cell service from your smartphone for data/internet access in Marathon - you’re setting your guests up for disappointment. I do want to say the person working the front desk when I checked in was VERY nice, tried to be accommodating and exceptionally good with customers/me. That’s something that’s rare in the value-based hospitality industry. She was awesome.
