Before we arrived, we weren’t sure what to expect because the reviews were such a range of absolutely amazing or completely horrid. Our first time to the Keys, and we wanted an old school vibe that was quiet and relaxed, in the middle of the Florida Keys, and we could slow down and enjoy ourselves. The resort is older, but well maintained and clean. Yes, there are some dings in the flooring, and walls, but age isn’t dirt. I booked a deluxe king, and we had room 18, the Blue and Gold Macaw room. Communication with the front desk was EXCELLENT, our flight had been very delayed because of snow, and we weren’t sure if we’d arrive prior to front desk staff leaving for the night. They were very kind, professional, and thorough in explaining how we’d get the room key upon arrival. Parking was fine, loved the location, and the water view was lovely. Didn’t have the opportunity to use the kayaks, but chatted with staff about how to reserve them. The resort is very quiet, we talked to one of the neighbors twice, and otherwise felt like we had the place to ourselves. Housekeeping does not come daily - which I knew and was fine with. We asked for extra towels and paper products when needed, and received them promptly. Was a great stay for us.

Incredibly relaxing location! Quiet pool and small beach area. Nice property layout and wonderfully located amongst the keys. Negatives - only 1 knife in the kitchen, we asked for more but they had none. No broom or vacuum in room even though they don’t houseclean entire week. There’s more but it was all simple stuff that could easily be fixed, but cheap that way… Overall it was a great relaxing stay, you will enjoy the peace and tranquility of this place…

Conveniently located by the dolphin research center. Rooms are older and you can tell they have been renovated. They were very clean. The small beach area was beautiful to sit in the hammocks and look out over the ocean.

We stayed in Dolphin and it was beautiful. Very clean, Friendly staff and the bed was very comfortable. Great place for a good price. Jet ski rental too!

We couldn’t stay there the smell of possible mold and mildew. The room also was very small and old . No wash rag towels. We left and found a cleaner motel . I’ve been using Travelocity for many years but this motel had an inaccurate rating approval no . This rating was terribly incorrect. Not to say I lost 200$

Hi there, our room did not have blinds or window coverings. It was on the ground floor, and in the middle of the hotel, which was a heavy traffic route. Also the TV had only one channel. We were unable to change the room, as the office was closed, and we had a late check in. The next morning when I mentioned this to the office receptionist, she said that she knew that, and it had yet to be repaired. I don't understand why this room was even rented to us.
