This was our first start at a Doubletree by Hilton hotel and we felt very welcomed and enjoyed our stay. We even got a free room upgrade, which was a lovely addition. We will definitely be back :)

The Double Tree Hilton were amazing! I accidentally booked the wrong night. I realised immediately and tried to change it with Hotels.com! They refused to help and said it wasn’t possible and were willing to steal my money! The day before my wrong night I called the double tree Hilton! They were amazing and changed the night and were amazing! They then upgraded our room on arrival! Hotels.come proved what is wrong with this app! They are unwilling to change or help with errors!!

The family room was comfortable with the right configuration of beds for us, however, there were live electrical wires exposed and accessible to touch which was completely unacceptable and very unsafe in a hotel room , let alone in a family room. I notified the front of desk staff who thanked me for highlighting the issue and she wrote it down telling me she would mention it to the maintenance team? If it was Luke-warm food I was giving feedback on then fair enough but this was a danger to life - wake up and sort that out in future!

This hotel is very close to the airport but you have to walk across 2 fairly busy lanes of traffic to enter the quick way, or go all round the outer road of the airport to enter the correct way. A crosswalk or footbridge would be ideal for kids with suitcases. Other than that, good location and English breakfast was good for the price. Train to center of town took 20 mins and was super convenient for exploring city centre before our flight in the morning.
