Avoid the front desk!

The front desk experience was less than amazing, especially the gentleman that checked us in was a complete disgrace to your brand. We arrived earlier than expected. Fully understanding that we cannot get checked in. Was hopeful that we would be offered to check our bags and then we would come back later to finalize the room check in. Instead we got met with. It’s too early. Unsure what you were thinking. Unreal and was appalled. We asked a different agent who allowed us to check our bag and took our number so that we could be reached if something opened up. The other agent glared and shrug us off. Beyond upset. Most encounters from that point forward got better. Until he showed back up to work the next day. Met with the same attitude and stand offish ness from said individual. Will not go back.

Very expensive for the quality of the hotel. No heating in room so we were given a portable heater to heat our £200 a night room. Still waiting on our deposit for the room. I've never been charged a deposit for a hotel room before on arrival.

I stayed here for my partners 30th birthday, on the first night we realised our AC was not working and therefore could not put the heat on. The room was freezing. We then contacted reception who then gave us a plug in heater, which turned itself off, and therefore we were cold during the night. The beds are also uncomfortable

Great stay

Friendly staff at the front desk and in the restaurant/bar. They upgraded our room free of charge, which was a surprise! The room and bathroom were clean with all toiletries. It was a bit chilly though as we just couldn’t get the heating to work no matter how much we played around with the thermostat (I’ve removed a star for this). The location is great - just a few minutes from the city centre, tram stops, and Piccadilly Station. Breakfast was great. I thought it would’ve been just continental but they had some cooked food too - scrambled eggs, beans, bacon - which I really appreciated after a long night out in the city. Also tried the cocktails and other food, which were good. Overall, pleasant experience and I’d stay again.

Nice hotel, but be sure to find and pre-book parking nearby as the hotel doesn't have a car park. Parking in Manchesters is expensive and can easily run to close to the cost of one nights stay if you are staying for 2-3 nights! Hotel was nice, staff friendly, well located, quiet (for city centre) and was close to all the things we wanted to be near. Would stay here again.
