A positive for this hotel is that the location is great if you will frequent the nearby market. However, the room is dated; one of the rooms we booked had a broken telephone, so it would pick up but you couldn’t hear the other side. The water temperature in the shower was hit or miss at times and inconsistent. The fridge didn’t work, and the air con was weak. The choice of shower gel and soap is parsley-flavoured/scented, which I didn’t particularly like, but this is subjective. There was one particular Chinese staff member who was incredibly helpful, and helped us understand parking rules in Malaysia.

It was great that the hotel provided a shuttle bus to a few tourist destination. Staff were friendly and always there to assist. We were there for 6 nights and we got the breakfast deal when we booked. It would have been good to have a variety of different food choices but unfortunately there were only one or two dishes that were different for the 6 breakfast we had. There were plenty of shops across the road and within walking distance. Overall a good and safe location hotel.

Quite an old property. Hence didn’t impressed me much. The rooms has an old musky smell like any other hotels which were old. One of the lift was faulty when we were there, but no signs were put up. We waited long time to get to our rooms during peak hour. The hotel staff were helpful and kind when we asked questions. I liked that the hotel employed staff with disabilities, giving them a chance to be more independent.

Sound proofing needs major improvement. Our room was sea facing and also facing a pub/bar call Jetty. We can hear loud thumping music every night for 5 nights from 10.30pm till 3.30am. Not only that, we can hear our neighbours next door and all along the same floor opening and closing doors and people talking. If someone is sensitive to noise, this hotel is not for you.

Property was ocean view but did not have an ocean access😢the room was well appointed and clean . Bedding was great ! The infinity pool was also lovely . The hallway on our floor had a very musty smell but we easily overlooked that .

The room is clean and comfortable. The only thing I dislike is the inconvenient traffic when going to the shopping mall. However, the hotel does provide free transport to the shopping mall at specific times. The breakfast is only acceptable.

The hotel is at a walkable distance from Mahkota Parade. They also have shuttle bus services to some of the attractions every two hours. The Maritime museum and river cruise is also a 15min walk away. The room was ready before 3pm so we could check in before heading out for lunch. The room was clean and child friendly. The staff at the reception were always polite and helpful, especially Thivashri. The hotel had maps to explain how we could walk to the mall across avoiding the highway. Thivashri also wrote down recommendations of some restaurants for us to try local cuisine. Housekeeping and room service took very long to respond but my children enjoyed the Fish and Chips very much. There was a children's swimming pool and bath robes provided for the children. They swam every day. I would definitely go back there.

Romance trip.

The hotel is dated and renovation works seems to be ongoing. Can hear hammering sounds in the daytime throughout our stay. Rooms are bad soundproofing, can hear next door guests talking. Heavy bass from nearby disco can also be heard from 9.30-10pm onwards(our room is seaview facing), not nice if you are light sleeper. Breakfast varieties are ok with enough sitting area. WiFi is very good. Shopping malls are just opposite the hotel with roads in between, which can be quite tricky to cross safely.

We had requested an early check in and the hotel staff was kind enough to assist as we had kids. Due to an issue with our kids suite room, they had upgraded us to another suite with all the kids bed set up. The room service was gd. Personnel were more than happy to assist. We had left things behind and the hotel manged to find and assist us to bring it to us. Lounge access was good however the timings were not stated for what time the food will be unavailable. Overall really good hotel with the breakfast readily available. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in malacca
