Great location, but housekeeping needs improving
Hatten has never disappoint on the location with the surrounding attractions and their front counter customer service, and was always the place to stay at whenever my family visits Malacca, and we have stayed here more than 6 times in the past 3 years for multiple nights. However this time, the housekeeping was found severely lacking as we did not get any housekeeping done at all. For the 3 nights that we stayed, no housekeeping came by the first and second night, and on the third night they only came at 6.30pm when we were already resting in our rooms, and it made no sense to go out just to allow them to clean up and make the bed since we were already done for the day. Extremely disappointed with this part of the stay.

Lounge is nice, staffs are very friendly and polite. Poor housekeeing and maintenance. Pillow cases are not fresh smelling, towels are stained and not fresh smelling. Sockets are loose and overaĺl room require refurbishment as very old and worn out looking. Disappointed for a 5 star hotel.

Excellent stay in a hot and humid city
Very comfortable stay for 2 adults in junior suites. Strong aircon and clean neat layout. Good pool and city view with big full length windows. Excellent daily house keeping. Good location with long distance bus bay just behind the hotel. Shopping and dinning facilities right by the hotel. Buffet breakfast very crowded. Items run out and will be replaced if you are late. Varieties adequate with very fresh salad bar, but could do better on the rice of nasi lemak and prata since we are in Malaysia!

I’ve stayed in this hotel every time I visit Melaka and since it started. However Hotel would need some upgrading of facilities as it’s aging. Anyhow I will still choose to stay here as Hatten is conveniently located, comfortable to stay & staff team is friendly.
