Great room and stay for the price. Room was a little on small side but only stayed for a few days so not a big issue. Biggest asset was the free breakfast. Probably the best hotel breakfast I have ever had.

The hotel is very nice. It is well decorated, super well located, and it has a very nice vibe to it. The building is old, so there are a few things you should take into account: the elevator is small and slow, and halls are small and a bit inconvenient. But the rooms are big and well furnished, very clean, and very nice. The bathroom in my room was very spacey, and well equipped. The room itself had a balcony with a great view of the city, and very good heating. Breakfast was not outstanding, but it was more than good. Finally I should point out that the location is perfect, and very comfortable to walk or take public transport anywhere in the city. It is especially close to the old Lyon, which is great if you are visiting for tourism. In terms of parking, there is a parking garage right across the street from the hotel but I read it had bad reviews, so I used another by accident the river that was like 4 blocks away, but still very convenient. Parking an suv was not a problem there, although it was very expensive (this has nothing to do with the hotel of course, just a tip for others who might be looking into it). The bottom line is that the hotel was great and I would go back next time I’m in the city.

A fabulous little hotel in a fantastic location right in the heart of Lyon’s shopping and restaurants and close to the old town. The location couldn’t have been better. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again when returning to Lyon.

Excellent SAC. Bon rapport qualité-prix. La chambre est petite mais pour le prix, ça le fais. Tres bonne localisation : proche du centre ville. Cependant, lascenceur ne fonctionne. Jai du monter mon bagage de plus de 20kg tout seul et ca jusqu'au 4 eme etage. De plus les espaces sont restreins. Globalement, cetait bien

Great experience at Hotel Silky in Lyon - staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean with a great quality mattress and nice bed linen. We had the hotel breakfast, which was good with plenty of options: patisserie items, eggs, meats, chesse and fruits. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the heart of Lyon.

It's a cute boutique hotel right in the centre. But why does it have four stars? Positives - super central location, unlimited coffee and water, friendly girls at the reception. Minuses - the hotel is really tiny, there is no bar or any facilities rather than two couches at the reception. The room is big but very dark! No fridge. We couldn't sleep because the neighbours went to the corridor at 12am and decided to shout. And the next day the building works started at 7 am.

Know your right when you book a room

I was given a lousy room with horrible cracked ceilings on the first night and without lifts access. It was not according to the room type I booked. It was changed after my complaint and the problem was then resolved. However, I paid for a losy room for the first night despite of getting the correct room I booked and also with the trouble of the need to change room.

Great central location for a short stay.

The Silky Hotel had friendly, helpful front desk staff! Our room was very clean and quite large by European standards, with king sized bed, a large bathroom, and tiny little balcony with two small chairs, overlooking the street front. However, for a large room, it had no dresser or other piece of furniture to put your things down. There was only a small desk by the door, and much of the desk space was taken up by the coffee machine set-up. So the room was too sparse and the space needed more furniture. For this reason it would not be comfortable for more than a night or two. Also, although the rooms are updated, the stairwells and corridors are dark and dingy, with old stained carpeting. This area really needs updating! Breakfast was in the basement level because there is no room in the tiny lobby. I did not like the breakfast space and the food was just passable. Overall I would recommend hotel for a very short stay in a central location.

Location is the main draw of this hotel. Close to Cordeliers metro. Walkable to a fun area where there are multiple restaurants open even on a Sunday. Two restaurants next to the hotel and many options around the corner for pizza and pasta. Lots of shopping nearby. Two churches less than 10 min away and Old Town less than 15 min walking. Breakfast is at an extra cost, but worth it depending on how much time you need to walk around. Lyon is huge! The hotel is older and it shows.

Very good location mediocre hotel .

Very convenient location for first visit to Lyon . Very central and 5 minutes to metro. The room was large , the bathroom shower had good pressure and good temp, the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful . But this is not a four star hotel . Very rundown feel in the public areas . The decor is very dated and worn. The breakfast was very average.

The location is superb. The hotel staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Free coffee, hot coco, and water was a nice touch. Daily housekeeping is great. The room is adequately air conditioned. Areaa for improvement: the towels need upgrading. Some mold in the bathroom. Would I stay here again? Sure. But I would bring my own towel next time. I enjoyed my stay. I enjoyed Lyon in general.
