When we arrived at our room, we found that the restroom had no door; instead, there was only a see-through shower curtain. That is a big no for me, especially when traveling with kids. We requested a new room, and they accommodated us with one. However, the new room was filthy. The sheets had stains, there was mold in the sink, and it had a funky smell. My kids were looking forward to the complimentary breakfast, but we decided to skip it and eat somewhere else because if the room was dirty, how could we trust that the kitchen was any better?

The room was dirty, especially the restroom. There were hairs everywhere. The carpet smelled horrible. The matresses are very old, you sink in. The coffee was so bad I had to throw it away. Staff were great but I would never go back nor recommend this hotel.

Home2 Suites by Hilton: 1 bed king suite
It was a clean stay for the most part, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, but the omelets were bland. Didn’t get the normal sponge offered to wash dishes. Couldn’t find, and wasn’t told where the ice machine was. Tv was messing up (remote wasn’t working) and skipping channels without allowing you to click on a certain one. Bathroom was fine but you could tell the shower hadn’t been wiped down well. Overall it was an okay stay. Not the best i’ve had with the same company though. Some of their hotels seem to just not be as well maintained as others.

Pros: Pet-friendly. The service was fast and friendly. Lee at the front desk was very welcoming and the worker servicing breakfast in the morning was very kind. Cons: Breakfast was grab-and-go. The room was okay, overall. The bathroom was poorly cleaned. There was what seemed like soap scum on all the chrome, as well as hard water stains. The hotel shampoo/conditioner/body wash that's normally installed into the wall was just scattered all over the shower. ALL the doors had huge scuffs across them. Our room door was high off the floor, like you could stick your hand underneath. The a/c had a loud noise. The faucet in the kitchenette was so loose, i was scared to use it. It was disappointing because I've stayed at several Home2 Suites and they've been perfect stays. I've been at Motel 6's that are in better condition. Luckily we just needed to sleep for the night.

We were counted as "no shows" after making the long drive from DC. Thus, our room had been cancelled. We re-rented a room and the keys to the room did not work...twice. We were finally switched to anorher room and were able to get some rest.

Comfortable bed but some things could be improved
We enjoyed our stay here. Pros: staff was super friendly, bed was very comfortable, room was very quiet. Cons: floor of room was dirty, the coffee was terrible tasting, and the pool was nasty (not that we wanted to swim because it’s winter, but looking out our window and seeing a brown pool full of trash, moss and leaves was just gross - maybe drain it when not in use??).

The room was not ready still after 5 pm . There was a Texas Tech football game and they explained that they were fully booked and the room would be ready asap. It was ready shortly after. The floor in the bathroom was a little dirty but we needed to get some rest because we had a long drive the next day and was leaving at 6:30 AM. Thank you.
