The porperty was a little dated, however you can see they try and maintain it. Room was clean, fantastic ocean view. Pool was nice and warm. Drinks at the bar reasonably priced. Would visit again. Location is great walk to two beaches, grocery store and restaurants all within a short walk.

I felt a bit of nostalgia with this place,,older hotel updated reminded me of an olld Las Vegas style. Hotel, beautiful views,quiet clean amazing pool and restaurant pool side,,righht in the middle of casino area,,lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Loved our stay.

The property was clean and in an excellent location with shops, etc. within walking distance. The receptionist on call when we checked in, Josephine, was excellent. She was helpful and very accommodating. The room, however, had a musty odour which lingered for our stay. The bath had no barrier to prevent water splashing out when we showered so there was some spill on the floor. The room was cleaned daily and the bathroom linen replenished.

If you stay here, you MUST book a villa. The villas are right on the oceans edge and have balconies with private pools. The setting is impossible to match anywhere else. Blissfully beautiful and relaxing. The hotel is aging, as many reviews tell you, but if your goal is relaxation you will not be disappointed. Yes there is pealing paint, aging bathroom tiles, and less than perfect plumbing, but having a PRIVATE pool, cool A/C, and comfortable beds far out ways the negatives. Oh, and happy hour twice a day with two for one $7 mixed drinks doesn’t hurt either. We had a wonderful time.

Sapphire Hotel passed its glory days. It probably was a very nice hotel back in the 80's. Shoddy work/repairs were very noticeable. I had problems with the room key card requiring daily trips to the front office to have the key card reactivated and this finally got fixed during my 4th day. Old squeaky gym machines. On the positive side, the staff was very professional!
