Positives: - Evening desk clerks were very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. - Local telephone representatives were very good. - Housekeeping kept the room tidy and towels were refreshed every day. - Several housekeeping staff were very friendly. - Easy parking. - Location convenient to fairgrounds. Negatives: - Al's Table restaurant was not good. A wait time of almost an hour for two persons could possibly have been attributed to short staff. We opted to sit at the bar in hopes of a shorter wait time. Bad choice on our part. Bartender was nice but not attentive at all. Blackeyed peas were acceptable. Fried chicken was mostly batter. Manager offered to discount the bill, and we accepted although we didn't ask for it. - Checkout clerk (woman with short spiky hair) on Sunday morning 8/25 did not crack a smile and was barely civil. A polite "thank you for staying with us" would have gone a long way. - No email receipt from Expedia or the hotel, and no printed receipt was offered by the desk clerk. She was in no mood to do anything for customers. This is supposed to be the hospitality business! Summary: - Will look for other hotel options next year. - Will definitely look for other dining options and be prepared in advance to order delivery. - Will call a hotel directly and not use Expedia. I want to speak to a telephone representative in the United States who speaks clear English and not someone on the other side of the globe whom I can barely understand.

Overall very nice
Our stay was fabulous, we did have two occasions where the staff barged into our room without knocking after we had checked in and were in the room. There were no "Do Not Disturb" signs for the doors which would have been helpful. The restaurant upgrade is nice but the service was terribly slow, waited 40 minutes just to be acknowledged after being seated.

We stayed Friday and Saturday night on august 23rd and 24th. Ran out of clean towels had to make 1 desk request and 2 phone calls to get them. Had a barback take my plate i was eating off while i was using it. The restaurant Al's Table was just ok. Broccolini was undercooked and my prime rib was a little tough. Most of the bar help were very polite and capable.

Night staff wasn’t good. During early morning checkout there were 10 or so patrons dealing with a woman who obviously didn’t want to be there behind the desk. I listened to her dismiss the two customers in front of me and she was incredibly unhelpful with me

The only complaint I have is that, housekeeping came this morning ( our day of check out) so instead of knocking before entering. She ( I say SHE because she didnt say her name) entered my room with her key. I feel like she should have knocked to make sure no one was in the room. Was too happy with that. Other than that. My/our stay was awesome. Oh n im not happy about the swimming pool not being available any longer. That was a bummer.

Only complaint is the customer service
I was charged double for my room. Booked through hotels.com and instead of the 100.00 deposit I was charged the whole amount of the room. I asked why I was being charged again the lady told me it’s the deposit. The sign at check in shows $100.00. When I asked at check out the lady working the desk was not pleasant. I understand it was early in the AM however I just asked a question she proceeded to tell me she couldn’t give me the receipt because it was a third party pay. Well why was I charged again for the room.. tried reaching out to someone about this issue and literally ignored. Customer service needs some work.
