Loved the Pierside for a quick trip to Santa Monica. Perfect location to walk to the pier, beach and shopping/restaurants. The room was so clean, bed was incredible, so comfy!!! Rented the bikes from the desk and ride to Venice beach, great perk! All staff members were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We had a two night stay at the hotel and wouldn't stay here again, especially at the rate they charge for what you get. The location is great to visit the Santa Monica Pier and beach, but the room was mediocre and disappointing. Noise transfer through the shared door between rooms was insanely bad, the neighbours talking normally sounded like they were in our room. The shower head was plugged with minerals and the pressure was so low it took a very long time to wash. Water in the shower wasn't hot, it was warm and it can't go higher. When others were showering in the building there was a screeching noise coming from the pipes in the bathroom. The pillows were the very long kind which were annoying, but the bed itself was comfortable. Our TV had two long lines through it so it's clear it was old and not maintained. Our room backed onto the freeway which was also noisy so if you're a light sleeper, I wouldn't stay here as the front side of the hotel is also along a busy road. We asked for a late checkout because our flight was in the evening and were told that despite the hotel being almost empty, we'd have to pay $100 to check out at 2pm. An extended checkout to noon was free. I think the hotel isn't being maintained because people will book due it's location to the Pier which cannot be beat. If you stay, walk to the Urth Cafe and avoid the McDonald's across the street. Pros: Location, free beach gear Cons: VERY noisy rooms, expensive for what you get

Staff was very friendly. The beach chairs and other equipment was nice to have. Very close to the pier/beach. The only thing wrong with the room, was no where to hang towels and the cabinet where they keep the fridge and bar/coffee was not very functional. Looked nice but something lower with some drawers would be more useful and then the tv could be centred between the beds. ( this last bit is me just being picky.) Overall great place to stay. Will definitely stay again and recommend it.

The hotel is amazing and a fantastic location! The service staff is fantastic as well very helpful. There’s a brand new restaurant bar right in the center, I had lunch before I checked into my room and it was wonderful. One of my favorite places to stay.

We will be staying here again! The view was immaculate. You have a restaurant inside that serves breakfast , lunch and dinner! You’re right across the street from McDonald’s as well. You can literally walk out the hotel and be at the pier in less then 3 minutes!
