I liked having a code to enter the property and my room so I did not have to worry about forgetting a hotel key. I also felt that there was added protection in the code required to enter the hotel, particularly because the area was just on the skirts of a sketchier street.

There is no parking provided at the facility. Lots of homeless around the area. You get a code to the room but it doesn’t work. I booked two nights but only stayed for one. Avoid this property unless you have no choice.

I can honestly say I enjoyed my stay and I will be going back. The parking situation is the only downfall . Also my a/c unit didnt work but because the weather was perfect I didnt bother the front desk about it.

Super Accommodating

We had a fantastic time. There was a problem with our luggage at the beginning. We were coming off of a cruise and didn't have a place to store our luggage. Sonder City Center was super accommodating and provided a place for us to store our luggage for almost 8 hours before we could officially check in. When we did l, the check-in process was seamless and super easy. We loved the room too. Very comfortable and clean. It felt new yet retro. We loved it.

Over all the property is nice from the room very comfortable, bathroom and shower. The temperature working very well in the room. The swimming pool very nice and clean. I love it to stay here again! Oh, fridge, coffee machine and hairdryer and more basic needs in the room. Also, has already shampoo, conditioner and body wash.. I stayed 3 nights and 4 days it was great place to stay. The area has surrounded places to go like restaurants. It has bagel cafe in the hotel. Oh the only part that I don’t like is.. My $150 deposit will be back to my account in 5 days to 7 days working. I understand for some reason of the incidents or damage in the room. I hope they will check the room right away to check if has damage or not.. coz pretty sure there are new customers will stay in the next day. However, I did talked to the front desk to make sure someone to come in the room to check everything is fine and no damages. He said “ there is a house keeping there right now. I said “ oh okay ☺️ Over all really love this place! I’ll be back again. I stayed here from March 05 to 8th.

Was again put in a ADA room even though I am not in need of those accommodations. When I inquired, I was told bc I booked through hotels.com I got the least desirable room. Which is kind of annoying. Also, another Sonder where the bathroom has no counter space.

Excellent location, charming retro vibe in LBC

Excellent location and charming retro vibe. Rooms are on the small side but adequate for solo and couples. Very walkable to multiple locations, like the Promenade, 4th Street, the beach, and the Transit Mall. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The bagels and bar at Olive & Rose are excellent. Minor glitch: The code provided for my room would not work. A staff member had to give me a backup code to use for my stay. The keypad on the outside of the building was not backlit and hard to use.

This place is gorgeous and updated, if a little small. The staff was so nice and helpful whenever we went to the front desk for anything. One thing that was strange is that nobody came to clean the room any of the 4 days we were there, despite not really having the DND sign up. Otherwise, be prepared for a really nice stay in a smaller spot that's very central and walkable in Long Beach.

This is a great hotel close to lots of food and shopping within walkable distances. Parking is a huge negative in this area though. Especially at night if you have plans and get back late. Also, be prepared to have to pay for it throughout the day from 9-6 ($1/hr). The hotel could really use some designated parking options.

I selected this hotel because I was looking for an affordable place within walking distance of the convention center. The Sonder Central City was that and so much more! While the neighborhood is a little rough the property is in wonderful shape, comfortable, and totally safe feeling. The room was comfortable, well appointed and pleasant. The courtyard and pool area is charming, and cafe is wonderful. But what really stood out was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful - I felt like they genuinely wanted to ensure I had a good stay. This was my first Sonder experience but won't be my last!
