The staff was incredibly kind—10 stars. When I got locked out, they helped immediately and even gave me an air freshener after I mentioned a strong dog urine smell in the room. I sprayed everything, and while it helped briefly, the smell returned within an hour. Thankfully, they told me to keep the spray, but the repeated hissing upset my cat, who is very clean and was disturbed by the odor.
Sheets were hair-free but had cigarette and cigar burns in a non-smoking room with ashtrays and butts outside. The carpet was stained, and I noticed black dots on the bed and felt itching at my waistline. Mold surrounded the tub and grout, and the tub seal was black, rotten, and peeling. The bed sagged 4 inches when I sat on it, and the furniture was outdated.
There was no bathroom counter, towels were thin and rough, and weren’t located in the bathroom—you had to cross the carpet to get them. Shower and sink pressure were weak. Light switches were grimy.
Freeway noise and loud cars lasted until 2:30 a.m., but I appreciated the no-fee pet policy and that I could park my 16-ft, 11’8” truck in the back. Also, late checkout was a nice touch—12 PM instead of 11.
Amazing staff, but the room was unsanitary and not restful.
