A monkey in a suit is still a monkey

Completely less than overwhelmed. The hotel boasts it is a hundred years old. The only thing updated here is the price. What a disappointing joke. The bathroom amenities are a farce. They don’t even provide hair conditioner. Motel 6 provides better. What a totally dated place that masquerades as a 4 star hotel. That legitimately not even a two star from my opinion. Stay across the street or down the road. I am sorry I didn’t notice all of the 1 star reviews. The one star reviews deserved more attention. Anyone who gave this Norma Desmond from the movie Sunset Blvd never stayed in a hotel nicer than a Holiday Inn.

The room was old with old furniture, the windows were very dirty, the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were very high, but the price was high! The interior of the hotel itself was beautiful

The fairy book convention was very inconvenient and we were unaware that there was a book convention in full swing right as we checked in on Saturday. Other than that it was a nice stay. It would have been nice to know that this event was scheduled.

Slow staff, inconvenient, lack of knowledge from staff, small beds, no room in bathroom, toilets didn't flush, sink clogged, dusty windows, valet was so slow we missed our dinner reservations and it was $75 a night, lots of noise. Only good thing was that the rooms were spacious.
