Disappointing service

The hotel was conveniently located for flying into LAX and flying out the next day. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. Water pressure in the shower was pretty low. I was disappointed in the service level. It took a few minutes to be greeted, although not all the counter staff was busy. Again, walking by the front desk to breakfast, no one looked up and said “Hello”. The only people that seemed to be pleasant and doing their jobs were the breakfast staff. The last straw though was when we wanted to take the shuttle to the airport. We were told to wait out back. When a gentleman walked towards us, I asked if he was the shuttle driver. His response was “It’s at 9:30”. (It was 9:20). So we continued to wait. At 9:30 he walked out, didn’t even look at us, and said “I’m on break, you’ll have to walk over there to get the shuttle.”

This is an excellent value for a layover. The shuttle from the airport is shor and runs at 30-minute intervals. The rooms are adequate in size with good functionality. The shower worked as designed, a plus. The standout was the king bed, the best we had in nine venues over our 26 days of travel. The matttess is cushy on firm, providing both comfort and support. The other notable is the included breakfast, which includes waffles, eggs, and the typical "full" breakfast in similar hotels (but not similar chain hotel we had used several times previously at LAX). This is our new "layover hotel."

Shuttle was convenient both from and to airport. Included breakfast was really good- several hot options in addition to cold cereals and while fruits. Staff friendly, check- in smooth. The location however is a bit out of the way. Difficult to walk to other restaurants or shopping.
