Exceptional bad experience
With this grading I do feel sorry towards the great people working in this hotel. But I had to experience something I have never seen before. I’ve slept on military beds (in hotels) and I didn’t mind. But having my head 4 feet away from the doorless toilet and paying about 200£ for this disgusting experience goes beyond my imagination. I don’t mind the small room and the small bed. But I expect good hygiene for that price.

We stayed here because it was very convenient for the Courtauld, National and National Portrait Galleries plus theatres we were visiting. It is very tired. The lifts are very slow and most of them were out of service for a lot of our stay. The tea and coffee at breakfast were awful. Overall it was OK for what we wanted

Comfortable bed, great location, but overall just ok. Strange bathroom with no towel bars. I had to hang my towel in the closet to dry. Drafty windows (in January), so the shudders needed to stay closed all the time otherwise it was freezing. Only three small elevators and one was out of service, so waiting time was long. We actually opted to walk five flights, even with our bags at check out rather than wait in the queue.

Favourite hotel in London
I always stay here for solo trips in London as their single rooms are one of the best value in the city. You can't beat the location and the convenience of a large hotel (dedicated, separate luggage service, 24h reception, express check out) but obviously, do not stay there if you want a boutique hotel. My only grief is with their elevators. Too few, too slow.

Very friendly staff. Very clean and well maintained. Only downside was that u could hear some traffic from below, but you are in the heart of the city, so it is to be expected. Loved it!

Stayed in a single room which is perfect for business travellers. Great location, tons to do in the evenings. A nice Green initiative if you are staying a couple of nights is that you receive a £7 food/drinks voucher if you opt out of a mid stay room clean.
